ty for your advice and no it is not bad i have been going for years now it seems right when i get off of it all i hurt something.. i take it because i do not have a stomach therefore no acid to break down the food before it goes into my intestines and it is like eating nails and glass when i eat. i have been on patches and pills since 04 i finally decided to go to a soft diet and if i eat something that will hurt i will have to break down and take something but i dont want to take it everyday. i am at one a day now. but like i said after i decided to come off of all pain meds i broke my ankle after i went through withdrawls then i got better and i tore my shoulder up. i am looking at two surgeries one to remove the excess skin and one for my rotator cuff.. my excess skin is from the gastric surgery. (which went horribly wrong and that is why i have no stomach) i do take shots and vitamins since surgery so i get nutrients i could go on and on but my profile explains it all better.. anyways thank you both for the advice i will put it to good use... than you once again.....Terrysa
skim the health pages as there are lots of otc things to help...imodium is a life saver for many,...valerian root, melatonin, benadryl and more can help with sleep..the amino acids can help ebergy and depression, vitamins and fluids help keep u strong...exercise helps anxiety, depression, rls and energy levels...also there are some safer meds that ur doctor can prescribe to help too if ur habit is heavy..good luck
Hi...I also withdrew from percs after a 5 year run. The Thomas Recipe and the Amino Protocol are your best bet. You can find this info in the Health Pages to the right of this page. Can you taper instead of ct? If so, you can decrease the wd symptoms.
