Is there life after finally leaving a crackhead?

I am moving out today after living with Bob for 8 yrs.  We are both 48 yrs.  We have no children but have 4 lab dogs and a cat.  The crack addiction has worn me out.  For the last 3 months I have barely seem him.  Gone nights at a time, not knowing if he is alive or dead, and all the lies.  I think the tears are done for the most part.  I really don't feel much of anything at all.  His addiction had taken over my life.  
I am not sure I know how to be me anymore.  I got lost somewhere in all of this.  I still have a job.  I don't drink or do drugs. (that's why I am not fun to the crackhead).  I guess I am wondering how do you learn to think about yourself and do things for yourself?  How do you get your life back?  How do you really find yourself?

Congrats on wanting to get your life back. What you did I am sure was not easy but it will be the best for you in the end. You deserve better.

Here is the site that lists al-anon meetings. It may be a good start for you to be around people just like you who understand what you are feeling and to help you get through those feelings.

well it certainly sounds like your on the right track to getting your life back!! I really think some alanon meetings or the na version would/could really be helpful to you in this time that your starting to rebuild your life,and how to let go of your old one living w/ an addict!! Great Luck to you in your journey
