5 days off of fenerayl patch tapering off of oxy & soma. I'm proud of myself since been on it for 5 years and just had major spinal surgery 2 months ago. I can't wait to get off the rest and live a drug and pain free life! This website helped me through the worst days this week! Thank you all!

Hello.  Today is my first day on the forum.  I am not "clean" as I still take my prescribed meds (either that or a .45 to the head!).

Looking for answers to dope sickness while still taking the meds. :(  Had to back totally away from the Morphine IR but still taking the ER.  Helps a tad but the pain's horrid.

I am happy to see so many who've decided to become sober.  Life on drugs really ***** whether you take them legally (dr's scrip) or illegally.

To ActingBrandNew... I really had a belly laugh at your picture.  Hokey Pokey.. hahaha

Thanks for having this forum.  Never in my life would I have thought I'd need advice on drug use.  I don't abuse my drugs, but apparently they've turned on me.  ***** because I have severe pain in my back and keep being told they can't see what is causing so much pain. :(  Yeah... something sure the heck is.

Just had to look again, 765 days. This does not say much for my memory. I thought my brain would be healed by now, but I swear I am more forgetful now, and sometimes my reasoning is a little off. Oh well, it will continue to heal, I hope! Lol

Thank you for posting this, It is great for everyone to be able to share their victories, no matter how long it is, because everyday clean is a victory. This is not easy. I am happy to say I have 2 years, 1 month, and 3 days today. I just checked the number of days, and I can't remember what it said (it was only a couple minutes ago, so that is a little alarming, lol). 759, maybe? Anyway, congratulations to every single one of you, whether you have 1 day, or 20 years, you are on the road back to living,  and it is worth the all the pain to get back to life.

I usually dropp by every now and then and see how eveyone is doing and it looks like you guys are rocking some clean time.
Me... I have been at this a while, just long enough to perhaps give you guys some Hope and remind myself that this is a Just for Today kind of deal....I got clean January 21 1985 in Raleigh NC in the rooms of NA.
I have another anniversary date that I am still  a newbyand not far removed from the addiction and that is smoking. My clean date is August 15 2011.. I still find this one amazing.
Congratulations to all....and Keep Coming Back !

So very grateful for 401 days!

I never would have believed it possible after 15 years of heavy abuse and repeated attempts at sobriety with multiple relapses.  For anyone struggling....you CAN do this, you CAN get your life back!

Happy New Year everyone :))
