Well, for those that are new...this is a monthly thread where you either post how long you've been clean or if your not clean yet but are thinking about it....this is the place to introduce yourself. So all are welcome and encouraged to post. People can draw hope from those who have walked the path ahead of them...so please share.

Also, I want to wish everybody a happy and safe fourth of July. Celebrate it with clean friends and keep your sobriety close. If your having a problem and feeling like using...utilize your aftercare plan. Use your "Who wants to be a millionaire" lifeline and phone a friend.

Hi, my name is penny.  I have been working a tapper plan with my dr and still going. Down to 3  5's a day of norco. I'm doing it slow but it is working good for me mentally.  I havn't been perfect and it has been hard but I know I will get there and once I do I will not look back. Hope everyone had a great 4th. Well my name shawn and I'm hopping that to day is the day 2 1/2 yrs of the devils pill norco. Im alittle ,alot scared really dont know what kind of wds im going to have dut gotta do this!!!I was told this one time that it is Fn you get for the Fn you done.so I will have to pay the piper.l will write later if I can.

Over 220 days free from the hold that pills had on my life. I owe so much to this site. I go back and read my posts from 2011, when I started this journey (and failed several times). Took 4 or 5 times, but I'm working everyday. No matter what part of your journey, you are better off today than you were yesterday.

Hey ya'll.....my name is CIK/Connie and I have 751 DAYS....2 YRS+ FREE off Hydrocodone, Soma and a 12 yr run with Antidepressants!!!

I'm a chronic pain person...but am now finding a lot of other NON-pharmaceutical ways to deal with my pain.  Long term use of opiates was NO LONGER working anyway so now, they are NO LONGER an option for me.

Our brains "think" we cannot survive this life w/o a narcotic for our pains...but you know what?  When I was a kid/teen.....I had severe burns, dislocated my legs from my hips and MANY other injuries...and I was NEVER EVER given a narcotic for the pain.  Imagine that?   I'm earnestly seeking NEW ways of thinking and treating my pain....and opioids of ANY kind are not in my survival plan.  I am finally making some itty bitty progress....and couldn't be happier that opiates no longer control my every waking moment~  The POWER OF CHOICE and FREEDOM are mine....just for the asking!!!  Love and blessings to all of you out there~  CIK
