Its That Time! September 2014 Roll Call!!

Hey everybody! Its that time again! This year is sure flying by. Its already September! So anyways...here we are. This thread is a place where you can post your clean time or just introduce yourself. You do not have to be clean to post here. If your "lurking" take this as an opportunity to introduce yourself. If you have some clean time, post it so it can encourage and inspire others by showing them it can be done. This forum is a great place. Old and new members alike contribute everyday and share whats worked for them in recovery. I like to encourage that because there are so many different recovery options out there. You just have to find what works for you.

Hope everyone is having a safe and clean labor day weekend!

Go Dodgers!
Go Cowboys!

P.S.  I'm am so darned proud of you...you have come a long way baby!!!  Congratulations on your clean time...it may seem like nothing compared to some of the times we are seeing here but these are critical clean times.  If we can make it the first 10 days, then 20 days, then 30....before you know it we'll be at 6 months.  We just gotta stick to our program, keep up our aftercare, take care of ourselves and learn to love ourselves again!  Sounds hard huh?  I started a journal now...I've always had low self-esteem...so my hubby suggested a journal...he's got one too.  I write down the things on one half that I want to work on...then I write the things down that I like about myself.  When I get down on myself I read the pages...what I wrote about myself and what he wrote about me...and it grounds me a bit...I'm starting to see a bit of the woman I should have grown up to be (had I not had to grow up the way I did).

Anyway....congrats again!!!!   xo

Awesome Jinx....I'm using all those things too...anything non-opiate that helps right?  Have you tried the voltaren gel too?  That helps a lot especially with joint pain :-)

WOW. You guys are inspiring.  I am in infancy here. Have wrestled with the alcohol demon in the past---but happy to say I won and really don't drink. Probably 2 months since I did...but that ship has sailed. Alcohol no longer sits well with me and I just want to sleep (this I know is a gift from god)
I am trying to quit taking hydrocodone or any pain meds. Would like to say I stopped 10 days ago...and I did. But have had 2 pills since then.  My next move is to go to a meeting because reading here inspired me to do that.
thanks you all
AND GO PACKERS!!!!!!

612 days off methadone for me, and I stopped Vicodin a few weeks ago after breaking my thumb and wrist. But I'm back on track thanks to these wonderful, special and VERY supportive members here at MH and my friends at group! Congrats to everyone on their clean time and congrats to those who are making their first step. It's gonna be a great life :):):):)
