Day 11 and still feel weak, depressed, tearey, and no solid foods. Taking tons of vitamins and supplements. Heard of kratom. Is it super addictive too?  I avoided bupe and weaned down on my owm from high amount of meds. Didn't think withdraws would be so intense with taper. Months and months to look forward to feeling like this?  Don't know how to take care of my fam and live like this. Got dependant after injury with no desire to ever return. My skin is still like sand paper on sides of legs and arms from tossing and turning for days.
All I read is two months to s year or more before "normalcy " returns to my body. NO desire eat pills but at a loss as to how to continue to live without literally going insane. I go tho therapy weekly. Church. Volunteer. Try to walk. Hot baths. Is this really going to go on for months to a year??? Please help. Need someone to give insigh even if it isn't what I want to hear. Thanks in advance to anyone with time to answer.

Yes, It does take time for the Brain/Body to readjust back from the removal of these Stims. You will have some stages to go through, but they will all pass in TIME. YOU can do it..Just keep pushing and Do Not that the tape in the Brain play back for that "One More" for this or that reason..Ride the storm and then you will be sitting under that Rainbow. It moves like a turtle at first and then Bam!..Everything will start falling in place. I wish you the best and BE SAFE!! Have Patience along the way..Be in the NOW-Today!
Bless

I have a private theory about this. I personally feel that every challenging day in my new clean life is helping to "rewire" my mental circuits back to normal. No longer is there a chemical fix for my problems, so I am adapting, unfortunately, "trial by fire" at times it seems.
Some days don't go as well as others, and I "wind up with the short end of the stick."
But when I crawl into bed that night, I feel the day was an unqualified success, because I stayed clean one more day. And I know that my mind and body are healing, so tomorrow can't help but be better, maybe just a little.
But better nonetheless.

Thank you so much for your comments. It really does help to know others have gone through this. I'm only on day 13. I became dependent due to injuries on paying bills. Never ever you just butt is on so long my job symptoms of intense.
My hubby, who has never been through list, thinks that my last day tapered off and took no pills a couple weeks ago now I should be just fine and a pump to do everything. Yesterday was really hard. I didn't sleep all night last night either. Is that part of it? Thank you so much for your kind words.  God Bless

Good Morning & Welcome,

Congratulations on your clean time! Yes, Kratom is addictive (especially if you've had other opiate habits). Also, it is grown in countries where there are few or no regulations on pesticide, herbicide & fungicide use & is often adulterated with other substances.

Please, don't be disheartened by what you read on forum about length of time until you feel better! Everyone is different. How long have you been clean? I sympathize with your feeling that it threatens your 'sanity' but please know that you CAN absolutely push through this even though it might feel like you can't. It would be a shame to throw away what you've accomplished. What you're doing is possibly the most brave & life-affirming/loving thing that you'll ever do for yourself & your family. The insanity would be to continue to use because I promise you, things only get worse. You & yours deserve better! You're much stronger in body, mind & spirit then you realize right now. (Believe me, many of us felt the exact same way as you currently do). Is there a way that you can lean on family/friends to help you through some of this? Hold fast! You're doing great. :)

No definitely don't go to Kratom. Yes it is addictive.
It is important that you nourish your body,
You have to force food. Try bland foods, toast, soups, crackers,
Rice, yougurt. Drink protein shakes.
Keep moving forward.
Congrats on your clean time.
Keep the faith,
You are doing awesome.
Keeping busy and moving around is a great thing.
Praying for you,
Debbie
