Life is back to normal

Hi everyone its been a while since my last post I have been really busy keeping my mind on other things.  I am on day 29 and I have been taking daily vitamins since I went CT and I feel better now than I felt before I started taking percs 2 years ago.  I finally feel in control of my life again I have lost a lot of weight which was much needed I have started to excersize again which I havn't done in years I actually enjoy getting out and spending time with my kids.  Life is finally starting to get better.  For all those just starting out I promise you the first 4 to 6 days will be really hard it's going to test your mental strenght as well as your physical strength but remember no matter how hard it gets I promise you once you get passed your detox stage you will feel so much better.  Make up your mind NOW that you are done don't waver about your decision.  I had a root canal done yesterday and my dentist tried to give me a script for some vicodin I told him no I wouldn't need it he looked at me in suprise and warned me that I would be in a lot of pain and I again told him no thank you.  Yes it does hurt but this pain was nothing compared to the WD's I had from coming off these pain killers.  I will endure the pain rather then ever put myself through that hell ever again.  Stay strong my friends it will all be worth it I promise you and keep posting on this site I would of never been able to do this without all these amazing people on here.

Congrats on your clean time!  Pat yourself on the back as you have done all the hard work.  As i always say, hold that clean time sacred and do whatever it takes to stay that way, your life depends on it~~sara

I will never get sick of hearing posts like this. You are so inspiring. One day of appreciation with a clear mind is worth a year of mediocre days high. Thank you for sharing the wonderful part of this process. Keep on keepin' on.

I love reading these stories.  It gives me such encouragement that I do have a future without pain pills.   I had been offered some last night and I said no, I can't!    It's hard to say no when you are coming out of a w/d, let alone hurting.   Good job!

WOW, Great work!!  Soon enough you'll be hitting the 90 day mark! What a great post, especially for folks just starting out. It is so true that it can only take a small surgery or incident to get us to use that "one pill", then were right back on our knees. Kudo's for resisting. Keep those days coming!

Wow, thank you so much for posting! I love success stories! I'm on Day 3 of CT and to be honest Day 2 was 100 Xs worse! It's great to hear that you've made it so far and I'm beyond impressed that you turned down the script! That is AWESOME! I just posted about how I'm glad I've felt so bad because it will make me never touch another pain pill ever again. Keep on moving forward my friend...you're a bigger inspiration than you could even realize:).
