Lifespan for Benzos

Okay, first I would like to say hello to everyone here, and thank you if anyone can help me out with this..... I am currently enrolled in a PC1000 class and have to take randon drug tests. Unfortunately, I have severe panic/anxiety disorder, along with severe insomnia, so I try to play "nice" with the program and only take my "meds" on the weekends since they're not allowed... My question, if anyone can help me out, is how long does Xanax or Valium stay in your system?

I have a class Thursday nights, and I had to test for them... which I'm totally freaked out on and can't sleep because I can't take anything to sleep during the week, while awaiting the test results, which if positive, could end me up in jail if I test dirty....
Last week, when I tested on Thursday, I had taken 2 Darvocets (not sure of the milligrams), 3.25 milligrams of xanax, plus 40 milligrams of Elivil, ending on Monday night. Does anyone know the lifespan of these, and if I could test positive? I'm freaking out!!! But I drink a crapload of water always... do you think my test will be okay?

Plus, I'm due for another test this week.... I've taken 22.5 milligrams of Valium (over the course of Thursday and Friday night- 4/24-4/25/08), I've heard they have a long-acting half-life. Does anyone know if they would show up in a drug test if I take it on Thursday 5/1/08?

Sorry for being so paranoid and asking so many questions, but I just do not want to end up going to jail for taking something that I totally need for my panic disorder and the judge refuses... it sucks... and I only have 2 weeks left in the course which doubly sucks, because I just want to finish so I can go back to being able to sleep and have a regular schedule.......

Please, if somebody has any knowledge of this, can you please help me!!! I'm desperate!!!

I passed all the tests and am now done with the class!!! No jail or Prop 36/probation for me!!!! Yeah!!!!!

I'm sorry.  I hope you get by ok.  That stinks.  have you tried anything homeopathic? I know you're probably laughing at that question....

California.... and let me tell you, the courts will make your life a living hell as much as possible, just because they can.... I would've fought my case, I even showed my public defender my paperwork showing that I had legal prescriptions for the xanax that I was caught with (didn't have it in my script bottle) and he said to not even try and to just plead guilty instead of fighting it, because it apparently was an older prescription, so I just gave in and plead guilty...stupid mistake, I should've fought it.....

PC1000 is a court-appointed class that people that have been caught with or on drugs of some sort, have the option to take the class and then once that is through, are on informal probation for a year, but if you get busted for another misdemeanor or felony within that 18 months, you're pretty much screwed and either doing jail time or a Prop 36 class....usually it's for first-time offenders from what I've heard (which I am).... it's not fun to go through that's for sure!!!

Actually, that's half-right.... it is 18 months altogether that you cannot pick up another offense, but the PC1000 class itself is 15 weeks long, with you being tested 4 times.
Unfortunately, my anxiety level was so bad that I went and took the meds (not all the same time) and ended up having to re-test from the week before because the class instructor didn't sign off on the labs. But I'm just hoping that everything will turn out alright....

But you're right, it would really suck if I get kicked out right as I'm down to the last 2 weeks of class!And I was dumb enough to take them and tempt fate, but damn, when you can't sleep for 4 days and all you want to do is relax and have a good night's sleep for once, it's hard not to... I'm just drinking as much water and green tea as I can before Thursday rolls around.....

Wow, you are taking a lot different medications. I know that valium has a half life of 20 to100 hours. Xanax is a short life with around 6 to12 hours that is the info I have found. It also said that valium can show up for up to 200 hours. If you are not supposed to be taking any meds I think I would try my best not to.

Hun, if you are prescribed the meds by a doctor, I dont think they can do anything to you esp put you in jail.  Why cant you take prescription medication for this class? I never heard of that.
