Looking for Hydrocodone Support...help please

So I’m on day 13... and I’m hitting a wall right now.

I took these things for a little over 10 years. I know i can’t expect instant results but I’m struggling today. My dealer gets his script filled today and I know it’s a phone call away... and I know just taking one would make these stomach issues go away instantly.

I’m really struggling and I thought the hard part would be over. When does this mental battle and stomach issues end? Almost 2 weeks I thought I’d be feeling some relief by now. I don’t want to go back but I can’t keep feeling like this and running to the bathroom 3 times a morning and several times throughout the day.  I thought a lot of this would be over by now.

Our brain plays some really nasty games with us so that is why we recommend recovery care.  This is a "we" thing, not an "i" thing.  You are young and have so many years left to really live.  I am happy to hear your dealer wouldnt give you any.  As the old saying goes, 1 is too many and 1,000 isnt enough.

Totally normal.  It's going to take however long it is going to take.   Don't quit just before a miracle happens.

I lived on pudding cups and jello for awhile as those type of foods just slid down!  Chewing anything with substance just didnt work.   You used for 10 yrs so this will take some time to get everything working again.  We still want that instant gratification but our body has another plan.  I am not sure how old you are either but the older we get the longer it can take.  Are you taking any supplements/vitamins?  Those can really help.  As i said earlier, this part is only temporary and you will get thru it.

As for your friend.....I have concerns with what you said.  If he is really a friend and on your side he would under NO circumstances feed you anymore drugs no matter how hard you tried.  I also hope you will think about some form of recovery care.  Having a good support system and learning the tools we need to stay clean is very important.

Thank you very much for responding to me. This is helping a lot, you have no idea.

I did almost slip. I called him. He knows I’m
Quitting and he said “I don’t want to see you suffer but I also want you to succeed. So take 2 hours, calm down and call me back if you really need me”.

It worked.  I got past that hard moment and never called him back nor did he call me. He just texted me and said “good job”.

I have to do this. My biggest issue right now is just getting past those moments that my brain is saying “just take 1 and all this goes away” but I know that’s not the right move.

Btw... I’m 34 years old.

The diarrhea can linger for awhile.  Your body needs to get rid of those toxins.  Time and patience are the 2 words we live by thru this part.  Remember that this is only temporary.  We have abused our bodies for a long time and it takes time to get it working properly again.  As the above poster said try the immodium and make sure you are staying hydrated.  Try to stay away from dairy products as that will add to the discomfort.  You are doing really good so keep it going.  Time to change your playground and playmates.  delete that number.

Thank you for the advice again...this is such a mental game for me at this point.  I'm also struggling to eat...it just feels like I have no appetite.  Is this normal? Food just isn't....appealing right now.
I guess I was just hoping for a little more relief at the two week mark.  And like I said...the GOOD NEWS is I don't wake up every morning with the urge or need to take a pill.  That is gone.  But the not finding food appealing and the bathroom issues are really messing with my head and keeps making me feel like something more is wrong....I just need to get over this.  The good news is I did tell my dealer not to call me anymore...he is a friend as well, so he's on my side, but the hard part is I also know if I ever did call and say gimme a few he would....

Take some Imodium for the stomach issues.  It also helps with withdrawals.  Google opiate withdrawal and Imodium and you’ll see the benefits of it.  Keep drinking plenty of fluids.  And delete your dealers number!
