Your story sounds almost exactly like mine only difference is............when I ran out I never bought them off the streets, I just did without. I too have chronic pain and mine will never get better unless they find a cure for my RSD.
I am now on day 16 and if I can do this, YOU CAN TOO.
We are all supporting you.
thanks for the encouragement... it is hard... i am at work now.. night auditor at a hotel.. I don't make the kind of money to be buying these things off the street.. i have to stop.. not just for myself but my finances as well... I really never knew that i was addicted to them until a couple of months ago when i went a day or so without them and i started getting nausiated. It took me doing a little research to figure out this was a side effect of withdrawals.. that is when i knew i was addicted. The thing is that i did not really abuse them because i wanted to get "high"... my body was telling me that i needed them by causing my back and legs to hurt... they are the devil and will play mind games with you.. 40 hours and counting...
Well, arm yourself with some immodium,(for you-know-what), otc arthritis strength pain med, some benadryl, and if you have a muscle relaxer, they do help, not condoning useing them to anyone, but I did. Get a heating pad for leg cramps, hot showers do help or baths. Day 4 will be better for you and day 5 even better than before. Since you have gotten to day 4 eventualy, why start again.? I know pain can cause use to do dumb stuff, but it just starts you over again like before you quit. Before you know it you will be right where you are now. It does suck but that is the truth. It is a matter to consider everyday when we deal with chronic pain. One thing I know is true, my pain levels are actualy better when all the drug was out of my system. I still have pain but it is managable with otc meds and if needed a heating pad. I wish you well in your journey in life. I think others will come on after awhile and give you their thoughts, it's slow on here sometimes.

H Iand welcome to the forum ...well your well into withdrawals by now it usually takes about a week for it to run its course...as for the cravings...if your an addict and it sounds like you are cravings will haunt you until you seek aftercare to help curb them
addiction has to be treated it dosent just go away on its own you can learn how to deal with cravings in a healthy way one that wont interfere with your sobriety with the help of N/A or A/A its free and the 12 step programs work if you work them...you can also go to a conslor or an addiction therapist but it is crical that you treat this or relapse is probable as for the pain...I also suffer with bad disks in my back...I have found the pain a lot more manageable now that im off of the narcotics it takes a wile but your pain clock sorta resets itself and things that dident work in the past now work...I get by on 800mg ibuprofine now it takes the edge off and im no longer in a fog...keep posting for support where all here to help good luck and God bless...Gnarly
