many concur that even too much over 24 is a waste when taking sub..once ur receptors r covered..they r covered and more doesnt do any good...so tapering down to 4 mgs or so..even 2 for many is not super hard...but u need to consult ur dr and most likely he wont recomend a week to get off both drugs...the benzo needs to be tapered for safety purposes...get with him...make a plan and start working towards ur goal
and yes i do know how u feel..i was just plain over it when i stopped...i couldnt wait to quit...i was sick and tired of being sick and tired...keep that motivation alive...but do this in a smart way that helps u succeed...good luck and keep posting
One more thing... I'm on Suboxone and my Sub Dr. told me that any milligram over 30 is a waste. He said there is a "limit" with it and if you exceed 30 mgs. it's not effective past that. I'm curious as to why after 2 years, you are still on such a high dose??
Hi, I was on 8mg a day of klonopin, it took me 6 months to get off. don't stop all at once, siezures happen even when stopping 2 mg all at once. I had to go down 1 mg every 3 weeks and when I reached 1 mg I had to go down .25 mg every 3 weeks. Even then when I was going from .75 to .50 I kept ending up in er twitching all over and having "mini siezures" that stuff is really hard to get off of and takes a long time.. please just do it really really slow
wishing you love and hope
you ared definitely not alone in this :)
i just started suboxone and started seeing double while driving 5 hours to my grandma's house. and I made it.
I wouldn't suggest trying to come off ALL of that in one week! With sub, you have to do a long taper plan and with you taking 32mg a day, that is a LOT to wean down from. Tapering from sub properly takes months. Not to mention the benzos! I don't know much about benzos, but from what I have read on this site, many people say benzo WD's are dangerous.
