I'm not sure where you live, but federal law states medications such as oxycodone cannot be written with refills, so something already isn't right. It won't take your doctor to catch you on this one - I suspect it wouldn't be difficult for one of the pharmacies to catch on b/c you've got so many prescriptions out there. What you've done is a felony; at the very least, I think you'll get red flagged in the system and any prescription you get in the future will be verified with the doctor.
Personally, I'd go to a rehab or therapist and explain everything, asking them for help. If you ask for help to get clean, they will be more understanding, many people make mistakes on drugs. If you get caught, you will not get meds in the U.S. again, and your court dates will begin. Do you consider yourself an addict?
I know here in Oregon you have to actually have a physical copy turned in each time for oxycodone. It has to be called and verified with the doctor each time. I have seen people go to jail for this. I would not puck up the other scripts and get help fast. Also I would come clean to your doctor ASAP.
I should have added that if the pharmacy catches on, they, by law, HAVE to report it to law enforcement. To answer your question more directly, I don't think the doctor would call you...I think he/she would let the police handle it. Weaver gave you good advice; stuff like this is addict behavior, so I hope you'll consider treatment. There are many posts here from people who have done basically the same thing you have done...search "forged prescriptions" and many will pop up. I hope reading them will, at the least, convince you to never do this again.
Seriously, I don't know if you're serious. I think you need help fellow. I don't mean to judge, you worry me though. Other than the sadness of your thread, I have to wonder what it is you're asking. I hope you find what it is you're looking for and I hope that is sobriety. I would think on Weaver's advice, seriously! Best of Luck to you and keep posting, there is help here for you..........ike
You won't win this one. I had a friend steal a prescription pad from his doctor in order to get more pills, he was caught at the pharmacy and arrested. Luckily he wasn't a prior offender and he was court ordered to go to an out-patient rehab which in the long run was the best thing that happened to him.
I have had personal experience with this, so listen to me very carefully.....you WILL BE having a police detective knocking on your door in a few days. You WILL be arrested. And you will most definitely NOT get away with doing this. And the trouble you will be in will blow you away.
I've been there, and have done what you did. I hope the pills were worth it. Learn from me cuz ya better be prepared for the storm that is definitely coming....and there is nothing you can do now to stop the consequences.
And believe me, the consequences that you will be facing are going to HURT in many ways....
In Illinois, the PMS ties into a national data base AND your personal health information. So ANY doctor, pharmacist, ER, Urgent Care, and health care facility can access this information. There's a 7 day turnaround for info to be processed so sooner or later some flags are going to go up. When they do (not if) you'll be contacted by LE.
Often times, a doctor and/or pharmacist will just report directly to the police and not ever confront you. This is for their safety. The penalties for what you did are severe so you best get yourself to a rehab ASAP. It will go a long way toward your cause when you stand in front of the judge. Good luck-
I didnt think those type of pills could have refills either so if this is true i hope that you will take a real hard look at what is going on here and get some help on your own before the law requires you to do it.
Something is not quite right here. Refills are not allowed on oxycodone. Xanas, yes. But not painkillers.
I wonder if this is a real post.
With the amount of trouble coming to this person i hope it isnt real.
I would probably have done the same thing but that does not make it right and the trouble you could get into isn't worth the risk. I would continue to see the dr, and not say anything and never do that again. Do you know what it's like to be in prison because from what I hear you won't come out the same. Dove
I had the impression that he put those refills in himself but I wonder how it got filled...
You cannot get refills for those meds. they need to be prescribed each month. Also, if the doctor is not using that special paper the pharmacist must call the doctor to confirm. None of this story seems right. However, if by some very slim chance it is right you have more to worry about than being arrested. You are on a suicide mission with all of those pills and if you keep going you will get your wish. Why don't you come on back and get honest with us. We are here for you and can support you.
In canada all our pharmacies are connected. The minute the other script was brought up at a diff pharmacy it showed that the same product had already been filled that day. I've also had my doc run out of triplicates and put my oxy on a computer script. But when I got to the pharmacy they couldn't fill it until they called and talked to him to verify that they WOULD in fact get the triplicate ASAP. Because they can be audited giving out them meds w/o a proper script. So I can't see this post being true what so ever. There are to many things that aren't right.
I'm from Southern Illinois for those asking, I wrote the wrong thing in my first post. He gave me a prescription for Oxycodone with 0 refills, the Xanax prescriptions definitely had 2 refills. but I went and made 4 professional copies and turned them in to 4 different pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS, and some mom and pop pharmacies), and the 4 xanax prescriptions I copied, I turned in to 4 different pharmacies as well. Seemed pretty normal to the pharmacists when I was turning them in the only thing I had to make sure I do is to only have ONE of the pharmacies use my insurance because if any other pharmacy were to try and run it through insurance, it would let them know that it is an early fill. So I ended up paying cash for 3 out of the 4 pharmacies. And for those asking, yes I know and do consider myself an addict.
Are you looking for help to get clean? That's what we are here for.
It was pretty easy to make copies when the doctor prints his prescriptions on regular computer paper and since I went to a place with a professional copy machine. One thing I was worried about when I was turning them in was if one of the pharmacies saw that I just turned in the same prescriptions a couple of minutes ago, but then a buddy of mine who is a pharmacist told me that it won't show up in the prescription monitoring prgram until a week or so after the pharmacy dispenses it and I just recently picked up refill #1 for the xanax from all 4 pharmacies without any issues, if they had known about me doing this, wouldn't something have happened between the first week when I dropped off the copied prescriptions up until I got the next refill? Its been about a month now since I originally turned in all the prescriptions.
I do want to get clean but I am currently more worried about what I did since its been a month and no "cop has knocked on my door" yet
How much are you taking a day?
Now one of my fears is seeing this doctor again, I don't want to end up seeing him and have him call the police on me while there or something like that. Might end up changing primary care doctors once again
2-4mg Xanax daily and around 90-120mg oxy daily
yo,
I saw your post, and sent a message. I really cannot say if legal troubles await you; but I really hope you can listen to the real concerns. You mentioned the doses - how long have you been on them? People are truly trying to let you know the real concern is your life. This scare could be the wake up call you need. Many people get worried about getting caught when it is your health that is really the concern.
NO, you aren't safe. You didn't "get away with it", and you ARE going to be accountable for your actions.
I say this from direct experience. It may take the detectives some time to get your case put together. But when they are ready, you are going to be contacted in person, and you won't be returning home that same day.
If I sound harsh, then that's because you need to understand the reality of what will eventually happen to you.
At some point, you're going to pay for your actions.
And this will always follow you around to EVERY doctor you see, every hospital you visit etc.
You will have a permanent red flag on your medical records that cannot be removed. Also, you will NEVER be prescribed anything stronger than an NSAID. Ever. That is, if you're lucky enough to have a doctor even willing to see you.
Your life will severely affected. Be prepared, cuz this is going to be very difficult.
The fact that you have a criminal history is going to have a major impact on your sentencing. The judge will be harsh and will not give you any leniency whatsoever.
Get a good lawyer because you're going to need it.
If I sound cold, it's for your own good. You need a wake-up call. And this one is going to suck for a very long time.
