Marinol

I want and need to stop smoking pot but want to avoid the w/d's, need to work etc. It's my understanding Marinol can ease the symptoms considerably. Anyone know how to get it? I tried going to the Dr but he would not prescribe it off-label. Any suggestions?

Marinol is just pharmaceutical MJ, and docs cannot prescribe it for w/ds.

I agree with the others, ride it out.  Anything you're feeling won't harm you....just just have to get through it.  Wanting to turn to another drug to ease the w/ds from the first drug is how people stay stuck on the merry-go-round.

Ya I'm surprised to hear that, I'm a long time(40 yr.) weed smoker and I've never heard of anyone having w/d's.  I'd just stick it out though friend and get your 2weeks over and it's over. No sense putting something else foreign into your body at this point.  Good luck prayers and peace.

Thanks newoutlook12. I have bad withdrawals from it as do many people. It's actually recognized as a syndrome in the DSM IV. It ***** but passes in about 10-14 days. The worst part anyway...

U don't really withdrawal from weed, you might just feel really stressed out.  Have a little trouble eating for a few days. I was a very heavy smoker,  everyday all day. And have been more than half my life, I just quit smoking about 6 months ago wasn't no way near as hard as I thought it would be. As long as you keep your self busy and try not to think about it,  its not to bad! Might be a little stressed for a few days but not to bad!
