Methadone taper question

Most of you know im trying to get off methadone 5 mg at a time. Im going from my highest 75mg and now at 30mg. Been here 2weeks. Everyone tells me "listen to your body before you drop." Exactly what am i looking for before i drop again? The clinic referred to a stable dose-i never got an explanation of what that was. I feel fine now- my stomach began to "talk" yesterday, but that's it. Am i good to drop to 25mg? I havent had a high from pills since jume 2015. Any comments would be helpful.

hey Girl....how did the drop go so far...im a little confused did you drop down to 25 on monday or today???? keep us up to date ....now in the lower doses this is a whole new game....some people feel it right away  like the same day....others it takes a day or 2 to hit just know minor withdrawal symptoms are normal... it was the inability to sleep and the anxiety that was my worst symptoms  over the course of 8 1/2 months I got a little bit of everything but there is always one or 2 that are harder to deal with then the others  25 from 30 can go ether way  ...God I wish the clinic would at least cut that drop down to 2....5 is a bit much  but it is doable....I found prayer helped... when it is  
3am and your wide awake and up shaking he is all you got I would not have made it without God helping...Jesus is my healer and my deliverer.....anyway let us know how your doing..............Gnarly.......................

Hey! Dropped to 25 today. No change. Took a few pills cause of back issues horseriding-related.... no high, but helped pain.
I ordered stuff monday-should be here tomorrow, so i will be ready. I have no craving for anything

Oh, and appt with dr to get clonidine... on 24th... will be ready on that end, also

What do you mean took a few pills, pain pills, there isnt goin to be a high when on methadone, its one of the stronger pain meds, Advil works fine for pain. You really shouldnt be taking any pain meds on methadone. Congrats on the 25.

Hi david well soulscapx gave you a good description I would like to add this....judge how you feel right b/4 you dose in the morning look for suttel symptoms like cramping in the calfs of your legs stomach upset sweating or anxiety or just that feeling to dose.....once these go away your ready to drop  I sent you a e/mail  so check it

A stable does to me is when you are maintaining "normal life" not craving a doc , not dope sick , and it doesnt make you high. They started me off on 35 , which was way to high, being that i was ****** up more then i was on pills, its very hard to gauge a stable level being the addict will lie , to just get that high. So i would believe if your not feeling sick from the drop and you put some time between the last one , the only thing you can do is go down.  Always remember it takes 3 to 4 days from the actual drop to even feel the decrease.
