My first big test today!

It has been 5 days without lorcets and today I went to the pharmacy to get some antibiotics for my daughter and got to the car and pulled them out and they had given me a whole bottle of Darvocet. I will not lie, I thought about it for a minute, even called my H and asked what I should do. There was so many people in and out I knew they would never know BUT I walked them right back in and handed them all over and it felt great, not just great awesome but what a test! :)

Your statement about being afraid that you would not have those feel good moments like the pills gave...is the key to success. You have realized that those feel good moments are artificial and temporary, but the high of being clean and in control is way better and lasts much much longer.YA DONE GOOD KID.

Awww... Thank you so much. I have to say it was empowering! It is like you said I proved that those drugs are no longer part of my life. I was so afraid I would never have those feel good moments but that matched the way those pills used to make me feel! All smiles and I was so afraid I would regret giving them back but I feel even better about it after time to think. What are the chances though of that happening? They said they were meant for someone with the same last name and handed the wrong ones but they didn't miss them and acted surprised when I told them they gave them to me. I know it was meant to be and that God wanted to show me that I am strong. I had a friend tell me today "you are stronger than you think" and now I believe that. I feel free and ready to enjoy the rest of my life sober! :)
Bless all of you for taking the time to support me. It means the world to me! :)
