So my mother in law's colleague saw me in Canada and gave me extended release tramadol. Thankfully I am one able to taper and I did. So he said it should help during the day with withdrawls. It stays active for 18 hours. I can cut it in half to 50 mg or 25. I will go to 25 because that's what I'm down to. I'm so happy I got something. Loving my vacation time!

Tapering seems to be the most pain free method of coming off of a substance, its not always pain free and if done too quickly can be just as much agony as any other WD's. Tramadol is no joke, please make sure you do it very gradual. Be ready, it might not be a smooth ride but ride it out and your life will be better than ever off of drugs,

You will get there so hang on.  Trams need to be tapered so you did it the right way.

I cannot believe  how bad tramadol  is beings it's the most mild pain pill of them all.  Just goes to show you how powerful  pharmacology  has become..smh

Hey sweetie,glad you're having fun!! Just becareful with anything time released,because I know some drugs when broke in half can cause the drug to get into your blood stream very quickly instead of over the extended 18 hours. Hope you have a great time here in Canada!! :))

I am confused here and please remember that doesnt take much for me!!  I thought you were jumping off the 25 mg trams but the doctor gave you ER trams to help with the wd's?
