NA meetings

I  have been attending a methadone clinic for about 8 years for a 100-200mgs per day oxycontin addiction. My stable dose was 150mgs.I have finally got the nerve to start tapering and i am now down to 50mgs.
So...I went to my first NA meeting.I found out that you dont have to be clean on the first meeting but they do suggest that you come back but come clean. While I dont do anything but methadone,I personally, dont consider myself clean while on 50mgs until im at 0.I have to admit,I felt bad for being there while still on methadone.
My question is...1.Should I feel guilty about this, even though I am coming off this drug, and 2.Should I return to this meeting while still on methadone or just wait until completely off?
Thanks in advance for your time and answers...I appreciate any thoughts on this matter!!!

Keep going, you will be supported and accepted, at least I was. I went to several NA meetings laoded. It was part of what got me to make the decision to stop using. My understanding is the only requirement is the desire to stop using. Don't bring any drugs or paraphenalia. take care and stick to your taper.

Hi, I am tapering and I am an active member of AA, and attend some NA chats online.  As said before the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop.  I sometimes feel the same way, but I check myself.  I know I need the program desperately.  I love AA and NA.  Keep going.  We are blessed to have these support groups.

You do not have to be clean to attend meetings.
The only requirement they have is that you "have a desire to be clean"
I would continue to go.
