Whoah. That's EXTREMELY interesting. What has happened since last year? Did the nightmares stop?
Thank you I'm not taking that just having bad nightmares the past week and the most recent one scared me so bad bc I woke up with chest pain and in my dream my chest was being pounded on
Just wanted to share my experience with brain zaps. I thought I was going batsh!t crazy! I only experienced them while I was taking Suboxone for 3 years, now that I am clean from subs I no longer get them. It can be really scary, I would have them as I was falling asleep, like there was an electric current running through my brain. Be careful with Suboxone, I got on it to beat a 10/650 habit, stayed on it for 3 years and am 70 days clean today. The withdrawal is hellish and very very long. If you stay on it short term, like maybe a cpl months maybe it wont be so bad. Just trying to save you the trouble I went through, the Drs. don't tell you the truth about withdrawal, I honestly don't think they even know what they are prescribing, Sub is 40 times stronger than morphine. I hope it works out for you and good luck! If you have any questions about Subs Pm me. XO. Carrie
I had a dream that I suddenly appeared in My Restroom and I saw a shadow behind my shower curtain I alowly went to investigate and suddenly the shadow jumped out at me suffocating me with my shower curtain pounding me in the chest and I couldn't move or call for help no matter how hard I tried and then I woke up with my chest hurting what could my dream mean and whats causing all my nightmares lately?
my hubby has those all the time...they scare me to death...i smack him...lol...glad to know hes not alone...
thanks...
I most often felt the brain zaps when I was almost in a deep sleep. Its like my whole body was zapped by an electrical current. Not sure how else to describe it, and I dont know what it is caused by. All I do know is that it was no fun. Its been 3 years since I have been off of effexor and I still experience these zaps sometimes. I guess one way to describe it is when you are almost asleep and your body jerks and it feels like you are falling out of bed or off the couch. Its just plain ol weird and annoying.
i know this wasn't directed at me but i also had this when i went off lexapro. my doc said its from the brain going back to produceing its own serotonin instead of what the drugs do. its serotonin withdrawl in a way.
Hi Amy you mentioned brain zaps....what is that caused from,That is a good way to describe what happened to me awhile back...any input on these zaps would be appreciated Thanks
The only times I have had vivid nightmares was when I was coming off of effexor. I would have the most wicked dreams with brain zaps to top it off. They can be scarey I know. Sorry I wasnt much help, I just thought I would share my experience.
yeah ive had similar experiences wif vivid dreaming while dtoxing.i think its our minds/bodies reawakening after being doped up 4 so long.using dreams r especially common.i always wake up just b4 the rush from shooting up would kik in.hate that.
I have heard of that, and don't be scared, it's normal. Lexapro is an SSRI. Anytime you mess with the amount of serotonin released in the brain you get side effects that can include VERY vivid dreams and/or nightmares. It happened to me when I started taking an SSRI years ago. All I can say (not being qualified to give medical advice) is talk to your doctor. There may be alternative drug combinations with less severe side effects.
i haven't heard of it. however lots of drugs have side effects we never hear of. i would do some research online on the drugs by themselves and together. crazymeds.com is usful for drugs like Lexapro they may have a section on suboxone.
