No, I personally have not. If you need the narcotics/opiates for pain then talk to your doc about safe types of pain relief and a safe dose. Some docs are fine with certain narcotics for chronic pain in preg, others are not. It just depends on you and your history as well as your pregnancy. I've never seen a doc prescribe a narcotic to mom and the baby be born addicted. Likely because the use of it calculated and its used with other pain relief tactics. I have, sadly, seen many a baby born addicted due to recreational use.
I'm sure first month or two wouldn't hurt the baby a whole lot if in small doses, though after that I would think it could harm the baby.. Safe thing to do is just assume it does cause the odds are it DOES. Rather safe than sorry right? someone more educated on the matter will comment sooner or later, be safe God bless!!!
In a lot of states no matter whether a doc prescribes or not state law is to start investigation if baby is born addicted. Here in CO they take the ban away for up to a year if it is born addicted whether you had a doctor say it yes or not and write the script.
Sorry take the baby away. Not ban.
Are you taking narcotics?
