Need HELP!!

I am on day 8 of withdrawl. I was on oxycodone for the past 3 months and vicodent for the past 2-3 years before that. I was however stupid enough to take an vic 10 mg yesterday that I came upon. I havent had any since that one but Im paying for it today. I had had it with the withdrawls and wanted 6 hours of "pain free" time. How much is that going to set me back? Today I am sooo sore but even before the pill yesterday I am still suffering most all withdrawl symtoms. I have a family two kids and a husband that works out of townduring the week. I am use to being able to balence it all pain free. Now, I cant even get to the shower or off the sofa between the pain and aches and fatigue EVERYWHERE!  It really doesnt feel like it will get better where I can function again with my everyday life the depression Im feeling doesnt help. I was on these stupid things for chronic pain from my doctor.

Hi behumble I have good news and bad news.  First the good news . It will get better each day you dont use. I took vics oxy hydro whatever I could for 8 years .  I was taking 100 mgs a day when I stopped. The first time I went through wds it took about 5 days of not using before I starting believing that I would make it. I used a few pills after 2 weeks and went right back into wds again. Thats the bad news you are not on day 8 of withdrawal . You are on day 1 because you used yesterday. Don't pick up again and you will feel better very soon. !!  post and go to a N.A meeting if you can.

I would say that you will be feeling better in a day or two.  It takes about a week or little longer to overcome the physical withdrawal after long term use.  Have you used a heating pad and hot baths?  Or try to take some tylenol and advil, alternating.  I know it's not much, but it beats the opiates and WD that comes with them if you start taking them again.  I know that you want the "pain free" time, but you will never get it on your own if you keep taking something, right?

Good luck!  Posting here will get you a lot of help and support!!!
