Need some support anyone out there

Today is my 4th day of my journey without using after 4 years of popping pers and vics.  I am feel horrible. I keep craving pills. I have been on the computer all day researching getting over withdraws.  Someone recommended the amino acid protocol thanks sound like a winner. I am going to GNC tomorrow.  I would like to get some feed back on it and hear from others who have tried it. Any advice with help.  I feel like @#*!

Good job on 4 days, and best of luck on day 5 and thereafter.  I took some aminos in the early weeks, maybe a month, not sure of the results, but at the time it seemed to be the right thing to do.  My wife is into the herbal/holistic approach, and was my biggest supporter during the darkest days, so I took whatever she gave me.  Glad you have support at home,  it really helps a ton.  I drank a lot of detox tea early on which we think
helped me not to have the cramps and nausea.  Not sure but something prevented those
effects.  Battin down the hatch for the roufgh seas ahead, but be assured there are blue skies on the other side. May God be with you during these difficult times and always.

I enjoyed what you said In (JUST THINKING) that is exactly how I feel and it is very motivational I have read it 6 times. I feel like I have to get to know myself again.   I feel like I did not know who I was on pills and now I do not know who I am off.  I am looking forward to starting to amino acid protocol tomorrow. Thanks again, Oh we love your sink too...

I'm very glad to read your boyfriend is supporting you.. being a addict sometimes we are not completely honest with ourselves how much control the pills have over our lives.. hard to be articulate and honest about it with someone else.. I have been with hubby 27 years and he has seen wd a few times and still does not understand.. The first time I detoxed off my pills I also felt very lonely and strange. I think this is normal.. It does pass as we are filled with pride and our personality's are restored..  push through these feelings as they are only temporary.. I did not sleep for many days.. I browsed the forums.. peoples profiles read a lot of journals and took comfort in the fact I was not alone and there really is our life waiting for us to get involved..

Congrats on 4 days You are almost through the worst of it.. I have not used the amino's but I have heard wonderful things about it.. Walking is what I did to help with the symptoms of wd and cravings.. I roamed the streets at night in my pj's lol what a sorry site.. If anyone ran across me they may have thought they were looking at a zombie.. Just know time keeps moving forward.. You are getting off the pills for a reason keep those reasons front and center to help you battle cravings. It is late but I'm sure you will be getting feed back on the benefits of the amios.. I wish you well on your journey.. lesa
