thanks guys for answering. :-)
Hey there!! I was highly addicted to trams for about 5 years, 50-60 pills a day, quit cold turkey, not by choice. Anyway, it took about 30 days for my physical withdrawals to ease up and about 3 months for my energy and sleep to return to somewhat normal, you were not on a dose as high as mine so, in my opinion, a month sounds about right. Sorry if I wasn't that helpful. Keep posting and good luck!! ~Sherry
Hi Honey:
It will take time...and time TAKES time. Two weeks is not enough to regain your old self back yet.
I cannot give you a magic number. You were on the trams for 4 years. And Tramadol is a very strong drug, with a nasty withdrawal. Unfortunately, many people were led astray by doctors, who, for some insane reason, told them that Tramadol wasn't addictive, or that there wouldn't be any w/d's. (I know the reason...doctors get very little training vis a vis pharmacology and many only know what pharm reps tell them...it is appalling. and WRONG, but I digress.)
I know you have no energy. Honey, we ALL had no energy at 2 weeks. Heck, I didn't even develop some of my worst withdrawal symptoms until after 2 weeks.
Just hang in there, and stick with your program. What are you doing to keep yourself sober? Are you going to meetings? In therapy? Are you thinking of using the Trams again?
The low energy means your body is still recovering, still healing. You will be your old self again, but not right away. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other...don't give up.
Hugs,
-Robin
