HI TAVIA your going to go threw some ups and downs your brain is screaming for endorphin your not getting any yet so some of the other hormones like dopamine and seratoitin are over reacatiting leaving your brain chemistry a mess things will balance out but you got to give it a chance you dident become an addict over night you wont get better any faster
we have the aga old addict feeling....'''I want it and I want it now'' recovery dont work that way as addicts we need toc change the very way we think and reason to overcome this it takes work time to start looking around for some form of aftercare to help you with all this trust me I wouldent have a month clean without it it really helps you sort out everything ,,,,,keep posting for support we all want to see you succeed good luck and God bless.......Gnarly

I had an awful day 8 too.... I'm sorry hun. I can tell you that I feel better today... day 9 for me. I'm not there yet, but I'm getting there. I kinda feel like the whole "getting clean" process....well the bad stuff comes in waves.... Like we'll have a day or two that suck totally but then we'll have a day thats not so bad....Helps us to not give up.... Today I woke up with a little more energy.... wasn't crying any more..... made it worth getting through yesterday without any pills so I can celebrate today.... day 9.... yay! Keep your chin up tavia....I'm really proud of you!

I'm on day 17 and was in your shoes a week ago.  This week will be tough mentally on you but you have to stay strong.  I felt downright awful in the early part of last week.  I thought there was no end in sight, but please trust me when I tell you it gets better.  My sleep started improving around day 12. My energy has improved dramatically over the last 3 days.

Stick with the plan... trust me you will feel better before you know it.  In some ways I found week 2 harder than week 1 because of the frustration of not feeling "normal."  You have overcome the physical part, now you have to overcome the mental.  But you have to trust that it will get better.  Keep posting and good luck.

Go for a nice long walk, then a hot shower.  That will get the icky feeling to go away for a bit.  It might also let you get some sleep in.

But more importantly, it will get to stop thinking about the icky feeling.

As upset you are with yourself about getting back into this place, be proud that you realize that you want to be clean and are 8 days clean.  Keep fighting the fight!

Congrats for being over a week clean.  It is something to be proud of and think of that while you go on your walk.
