One Year!
For all of you out there who are struggling, one year is achievable! If I can do it, you all can too!
I look back at the struggle of becoming clean and now, all I see are gifts. The pain, the discomfort, the loneliness all go away and become faded memories.
Some of the wonderful things that happened to me in becoming clean:
I adopted a little brother....Gizzy, I love you!
I learned that I am much stronger than I ever thought.
It is really much easier to solve problems with a clear head, the pills only mask things temporarily.
I don't have to lie anymore.
My husband and I are more in love than ever.
I learned that friends are so important and if you trust them, they will be there for you.
I got a new kitty.....and she is not sh*tty! lololol!
This year I will be hosting a slumber party without the pain of detoxing....and it will make listening to 10 screaming girls so much more fun! I think only you "oldies" out there will understand the last 2!
To all of you who are just deciding to get clean, you can do this, just stay here and post as much as you can. This forum saved my life, my friendships and my marraige.

hey there.....congrads.....i love it....you make me happy{er}....i will be saying the same eventually....................new years eve was my last hickup....turns out that being awake is a trigger,,,,who'da thunk...lol...peace/////just say no.....

CONGRATS SIS!!! You have come so far since last year and i am so proud of you. All the things you have accomplished in this short time gives us all hope that staying clean is possible and a much better life. We sure had some fun on here, so many laughs that helped during the early days of recovery, i always loved your stories. Even though your a mean ogre, i still luv ya, lol. WELL DONE!!
