I'm really trying to be open minded this time. I know I have been pretty close minded in the past and it didn't work.
I just really feel this time that using is not an option.
Even when I have cravings, I rush to do something about them.
I know it's very early and I have so much to learn and do to stay clean.
Monday's appt. will be a big step and i hope it's productive.
I will wait and see.
OK I get it (duh) - sorry! And that's good. You can feel comfortable going. Stay open-minded and just hear what they have to say.
Quiet in the Employment Centre that you have to walk thru and see the same receptionist for the Drug Addiction Councilor. I will be nervous enough.

Getting clean going through the physical withdraws is the easy part Staying Clean thats the Hard part(when the real work begins).
Think about those quotes I do alot :))
Pat The type of aftercare I go to is a Group its 4 of us and an addiction counselor The lady that is head of our group is AMAZING! i met her at a NA meeting I went in to try it and I guess she could tell when i was leaving that I wasnt comfortable and she told me about smaller group Meetings and she just reached out to me we went and sat in her car and talked for 2 hours. I am telling you w/o the group meetings I would not still be clean . Everyone in my group is close in time One girl has more time but the other 3 of us are within a month of each other and we just Molded together and this group we meet sometimes 3 times a week but this month its been 2 times a week and that may seem like alot or not enough but its perfect and if we need to meet or talk I can pick up phone and call anyone of the people in my group and they can call me also. Its only been almost 5 months now that I have been in this group and I cant imagine my life w/o this in my life. If you try some type of aftercare and you dont like it dont give up try other types there are many types available.
It does make a difference in your sobriety. And helps you learn alot about being addicted to your DOC and you get tools to help you change yourself and become healthy and this doesnt happen overnight it takes time each day I am learning and getting support to keep myself on the right road to recovery and when I start doing something that anyone in my group feels is redflag they call me on it and we work it out.
I know I might be rambling my point is Pat find what works for you whether it be NA one on one counseling or group of people . Just make sure you remember it is VITAL to your sobriety. AFTERCARE and Getting rid of your PILLSOURCE .
What do you mean? "quiet in there"? I'm missing something!
The only advice I can give is to just keep moving forward! I know I say that over and over again! Some days it will be very small things, other days it will be huge tasks! You will get through all of this in your own time! Don't let yourself get overwhelmed! For me, it is so easy to do, and that is when I crave the worst!
Take care my dear friend! I'm behind you all the way no matter what you chose! I know you will choose and clean, happy, and healthy life! You are well on your way!
