There is only one way out of this and that is to go thru it. Tapering will help and with the amount you are taking a day that would be your safest bet. Make an appt with your doctor. I would also check into an addiction counselor. I wouldn't fear the wd's, i would fear what will happen if you continue on this path~
To me this is not an all natural site like you said. Some choose to go that way while others go more medical. I've always been kind of taken back by folks who have used drugs for 5 - 20 years and they expect to be clean after 5 days of WD's. This does not make sense to me.
It sounds like your about to have a stroke because of the anxiety. You need to slow down and make things a little easier. You are getting solid advice here. I do not subscribe to the theory that everyone needs to go through terrible WD's so they remember how horrible it was so they don't use again. That addicted part of your brain is much stronger than that fear of going through WD's. I was stupid enough to go through 4 or 5 WD's and they all sucked big time. I can say every time after the first bout with WD's got worse and worse until my final one (I pray it is my final) when I had a seizure. That was 16 months ago and life is sweet. I always say my worst day sober is better than my best day high and it really is true. 30 percs a day is a lot and if you don't get well you are going to lose your life. To What? A stupid pill. Why would we do that to ourselves. I got so bad that I was taking 6 - 8 80mg OxyCottin each day. One 80 mg oxy is comparable to eight or nine 7.5 percs. Basically comparable to about 50 percs per day. When I told the ER doctor after the seizure he said he couldn't believe I was not dead. This is not a badge of honor and I hope you will go look in the mirror and see the real person behind those dilated pupils. You can do this and you can live a happy, healthy, productive life. Take help from others and when your clean and sober it will be your turn to help someone else who is living is despair. God Bless
What's the rush????? Your up to 30 a day, that's the rush! How much more of this do you think your body and mind is going to be able to take? Some of us decide to get the "junk" out of our bodies this way because it does suck! For me, that's how I remember how NOT to get back there. I don't EVER want to detox again! From anything!
I get it, your scared, I don't blame you. It IS hard, but anything worth having is hard! Talking to your dr is definitely one way to start a taper plan, but you have to sit down and make a plan! Figure how long you want this process to take, can you find a sitter for a few days, can you enlist the help of a friend, relative, etc..., I think maybe you've scared yourself more than you have to....
My dear, I knew many that took 30/40 hydros a day, and most of them aren't here anymore. Please consider a plan of action! You are definatly in my thoughts!
Hi And Welcome-
Look there is no easy way through this that is for sure. Yes w/d is hellish but it is totally do able. Many of us have done it here successfully and many worked and took care of kids while doing it. Your dose is very high. If you can taper, do it. Personally I tapered as long as I could but I still felt like crap every day and just wanted it over with so I jumped. The worst of c/t lasts 4-5 days. Think of it as a very bad flu (I have a very bad flu right now and it is exactly what I felt like during detox). You just gotta check out the Thomas Recipe, stock up on vitamins and lots of fluids and go through it. The only way out is through and the worst part of w/d is the fear of it. I promise it will be ok.

won't prescribe if not. Clonidine is supposed to help with wds too.
Since are getting it from your doctor he will be more likely to understand and help. That's all. Most doctors w
Have you been getting your pills by prescription or do you buy from someone ?
Tapering will be the only way to make wd not so bad. You have to strong and do it as you are supposed to. No cheating.
Other than that I have been taking Elimidrol day and night formula and it helps a lot.
But you can't run away from it. You will experience some wd at some time. It is best to be strong and get they it. It'll be so much better when you do.
You will probably have to start by seeing your primary doctor. They can perform blood tests and do a basic physical, and then refer to whomever they think you need to see. You're primary doctor should be able to set up a taper plan for you. They may also want to add counseling into the mix. Just really depends on what you and your doctor decide is best for you and your situation.
You are probably right but better now to quit that never. I want to see a professional that will understand me not just a primary. If I am going to see a dr. I will be truthful I don't want to waste my time nor the dr's. My life is too busy to be playing around with this.
Me again I have insurance thinking about seeing a doctor but don't know what kind to see. Maybe I'm in the wrong site seems this is a natural way to do it and everyone suffers. WHY I don't know. I would pay and see a doctor. The no sleeping, rls and everything that ppl suffer is not my cup of tea. Come on we're in the 20th century with a lot out there.
Hi there. The alternative would be to talk to your doctor, be 100% honest and possibly try a taper plan. That might be hard to do if you are an addict. We tend to start feeling rough and take more than we are supposed to. I think it would be a good idea to talk to your doctor about your use. If you have been taking 30 pills a day, it is very possible that you have liver damage. I hope that you are able to find a way to quit that will work for you. Please get checked out by the doctor! Good luck to you.
