Over 36 Hours Since Abusing

I'm going on 2 days and still don't feel that awful. I have cravings sure, but last night I was able to sleep for over 6 hours after rolling around a little.  From what I hear the second and third days are the worst.  At this point I should be feeling the worst of it right?

Thank you!  I think it is easier this time because I was fed up with what my life had become, and definitely ready to quit.  Also, I was a recreational user and never had to use them for actual pain which I believe is making this easier for me.

Great Job! I am very proud of your positive attitude! There is one thing we do say on here and that is a positive attitude and get walking or some kind of exercise..I have read blessing on here from people bouncing back quicker this way..Trying to redirect your self from your self is a good one! I can not tell you if you will have some ups & downs mentally, but if it does happen just hang tight it is all part of the process. Like they said just be careful being around any substances because the tape in the brain will play the "I feel good" or "just one more" For what ever reason it can think of and it is so so real!! That is why they say 1 is to many and 100000 is not enough..Congratulations on your days!! Ya!!!!
Bless

I have been planning this for a while so I started doing crossfit pretty hard for the last month and a half and lost 20 pounds that I had gained during my pill phase.  I think that is helping some.  Otherwise, I would've been too lazy to do what I just did.

I am so glad that you are feeling so well! The exercise really does make a difference if you can stand it this early on. You are doing great, and have a fantastic attitude about everything. That can make a huge difference in this.

A positive attitude will go a long way threw this next 2 or so days! it may get a little worse, but don't fret over whats to come, just take it a day at time, a hour, or even a minute and before you know it you'll be waking up clear headed and not reaching for a bottle to keep you going! Its so worth it! Your doing it! and you should be proud!!!

glad you are feeling somewhat ok....just stay strong thru the cravings....they will be up and down....don't give in....you've come this far and sounds like it's not that bad....so keep your spirits up and know you will get thru this....it feels so great to not have to count pills and wake up hoping you have enough to last thru the day/week.

Thanks a lot Marianne.  I think getting that sleep last night really helped.  So far I've been lucky compared to other symptoms I've been reading about.  I'll keep up the good fight and keep my fingers crossed that my body continues to treat me well through this.  I'm not going back.

Sounds like you are doing great; just remember to keep that guard up at all times!!!  Those "voices" will be soft at first and then they will start screaming!  "Just one won't hurt" "You deserve it; you've been doing so good". Stay focused cuz you got this; we are all rooting for ya!  Keep posting

The drug is leaving your system now and your body and mind will start screaming for more. Be sure that you have cut all ties and connections! This is the easiest time to give up and give in. We become very desperate. Stay strong and stay on here!

Thanks, I definitely will.  I am so thankful that I am not feeling and experiencing some of the things I've read in this forum and feel bad for those who have.  I've got my fingers crossed that my symptoms remain manageable.

Everyone's a little bit different, but yes I would say you should be hitting your 'peak' soon. I felt the worst on my second and third days, then at the end of the third day I just felt wiped out, physically and emotionally. After that the physical symptoms got a little bit better every day. So, hang on my friend, and stay strong.
