Oxycodone withdrawel

Yesterday I weened myself from 6 oxy's down to 4 and felt okay.  Should I just continue on 4 a day for a few days then go down to 3 and so on?  My sister is coming from out of town on Saturday and I don't want to go through w/d while she is here.  What shall I do?

Taper the pills if you can do it.  I never could trust myself...Get clean by any means necessary.  Mabey you could tell your sister your problem and she would hopefully be able to give you some support.  Next step is to tell your doctor the truth and let him help you so you wont be to miserable and start using again.  I will be here for you anytime you need me, I promise!! Get off the pills and save yourself now because its got to happen one of these days, and the sooner the better!!  Much luv!

I can't say do this or do that, but what you describe seems to be a good plan..I did a taper last christmas..It did help alot over a couple prior attempts..Mine was over roughly a two week period reducing my amounts...:)

Hi, welcome here :)

i would do it as you said.... get used to the new dose and lower it again and quit when you start feeling some of the symptoms of wd... once we have decided quitting the pills, we want it done right now but waiting for some days will not matter if you do it..... read the thomas recipe on the health pages ( right side of the screen) where you can find some advices to help you with wds and stay here and tell us how you are doing, ok? good luck, loaner :)
