Pain Killer Addiction

I am a 25 year old female 5'2 and about 98lbs who has been taking approximately 6-7 vicodin 500mg, percocet 500mg, or 3-4 norco 1000mg (basicaaly whatever type of pain killer in that family I could find) everyday for the past 5 years. I recently left an abusive relationship (4 days ago) which has left me with withdrawal symptoms in itself (diareahea from my nerves, loss of appetite and anxiety.) I have used these drugs recreationally and have been unable to find any since I am no longer around my ex. Today I took the last few I had and I was wondering what would be the easiest and most comfortable way to deal with this. I was thinking about asking my doctor for something for anxiety due to leaving such a bad situation... I quit for about a month a few years ago, but I wasn't working at the time so I lived off of tylenol PM for about 4 days and slept/ hot bathed it off.....please help because the next couple days are not going to be pretty!!!!

Hi...you didn't say that you had to work during your upcoming detox but if you do, please try to call in sick with the flu.  You may need approx 5 days to get through this.  The Thomas Recipe seems to help many as well as the Amino Acid protocol.  I think you already know what's going to happen...restless legs, insomnia, diarrhea, mental cravings, anxiety, etc.

If you can recognize your symptoms and see them for what they are, you'll be OK.  Staying clean is the tough part...read the PAWS info on this site.  Keep posting and sharing too because you're definitely not alone.

if u read thru the health pages u8 can learn tons bout keeping comfy..the thomas recipe is great...and exercise even if u dont feel like it can do wonders...keep posting as this is a great place for u to be right now
