Pain is playing tricks on me...

Today is day 30 for me and last night I was in terrible pain.  I fractured my elbow about 2-3 months ago and since quitting hydro's I've been going to physical therapy to help with the elbow.  They told me that my nerve is irritated and that's what causing my pain.  I also started a new job which is very physical work and everyday this week I've been in pain when getting off work.  I've been using ice, tylenol and naproxen but last night nothing was working.  I have some darvocets and tylenol 3's and I was so close to taking one but I am so scared that taking one of those pills might make my withdrawals worse or the thirst for the vikes stronger.  So I guess I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion about taking different opiates for pain.  Seems like its like not a good idea to have any opiates what so ever.  I never had a problem with those pills but I don't want take any steps back....  And part of me wonders if it's all part of my addiction, PAWS, making my pain worse?
Thanks to everyone on this forum, it's been key in keeping me clean!
Good luck to everyone in their struggles!

Thanks everyone for responding.  I think I may only work a half day today and just take it easy and try not to overdo it.  This is new work for me because I've been unemployed for over 6 months and haven't blown glass for at least that long.  On top of that I'm using a glass lathe and you need to unlock it with a quick movement in the arm and that seems to be the cause for the most significant pain.  I love the work but can't handle the pain.  Today I will see about not working for longer than a few hours if that long.
Thanks again for all the support.  I'm gonna keep away from those other opiates even though they are appealing...

WOO HOO! Congrats on a month clean. Sorry your in pain, but i suggest to keep using any alternative before any opiates again. Even though ty 3`s are weak, they can be habit forming and bring you right back to something more. I don`t know about PAWS making pain worse, but coming off opiates your mind can trick you like you say to feel more pain. Your doing great and it would be a shame to fall back so try to find some other method to relieve this. CONGRATS!
