Pain med if you need it?

I posted a few months ago about wanting to get off medications for pain.  Not an excuse...pain has stopped me.Of course I am addicted but is that really secondary to dealing with chronic pain?

No I'm not because pain keeps me from functioning, without meds I could not move without pain.  My Dr is checking out a new specialist for me.  She doesn't dole out scrips at all which is the only comfort here, I really do, right now, need them.

There is a difference between addiction and dependence. HOWEVER I thought I *needed* mine and since being clean I am in WAYYY less pain then I ever was while taking them!
Everyone is different and this is my opinion, Dr's dole pain meds like candy and I TRULY believe half the people on them shouldnt be, why you ask because if ALL pain med patients NEEDED them, then there wouldnt be as many meds on the street right? right!
You have to want to quit...
