Please Help me Get off of this Monster

I have been treated for pain after my 5 surgery this year they put me on Percocet 325/5. At 6 a day. I want to get off of this so bad. I cut my self back to 1 tablet a day. I had a stroke in June I also take Tramadol for pain. I tried to quit after I cut back to 1/2 pill in the morning and 1/2 pill at bed time. The doctor said I was ready. On the third day of quitting. I had cramps and seizures of a sort. I went to the ER. And the doctor there said my Doctor at the V.A. was a quack. He told me this is a long process. And not to be taken lightly in my condition. Please Dear God some one help me with this Monster. I do not know what else to do. Thank god my wife loves me.
