So with my 5 months clean time even tho I had to take the norco for 10 days I just did something that amazed me! My ex was in a head on crash this morning and he is fine (our car is not tho) but they gave him a prescription for Norco needless to say I had to get him home and into bed before he starts feeling the whiplash. So anyways I was nervous because I needed to go pick up his meds. He knows my problem I have had with them and told me I didn't need to but I went anyways and guess what?! It didn't even bother me!! I didn't have one craving, wasn't tempted to take one or anything! I think my super mom and super wife powers are coming back full force and I don't need pills to feel like that! Now the plus side to my withdrawals lol he has to be woken up every few hours because he hit his head and I'm sure without my sleeping aid I won't be able to sleep so I can be awake to wake him up... There is a reason for everything right? Hahaha

Wow, thats awesome. Im so proud of you. That was a big test. And like u said, everything happens for a reason. Not missin that sleep so much tonite huh?

And I just read your last post. Thats very touching...and true. Kids are good motivation for us to be clean. They need us, and we never know what tomorrow wil bring.

Keep praying, and thanking God, and you will be fine.

Oh, and keep that bottle outta sight. Just incase the devil tries to sneak into your head.

Its a very scary thing our car was a Honda prelude and he was hit by a suburban. My ex was going 45 mph the other guy was going more then that and swerved into my ex's lane. Thank god everybody had seatbelts on. I really could of lost my heart today and my son would of lost his daddy. This gave me even more motivation to stay clean. What would my son had done if his daddy was gone and mommy had to pop pills to function? You never know what's around the corner and I need to give my son my all!

Yes,and wear your seat bets...That saved my life when I got hit fr behind and thrown into a semitruck on 295...That is the reason for my introduction to pain killers...Anyway,im glad he is ok..and I have faith that u will stay strong..Its not worth it..hang n there..

I'm staying strong and they are at his house. I will only be here for tonight and they are already put away. I think the shock of the phone call today took my withdrawals away to be honest lol. I was so scared that I was about to lose my love and best friend. Everybody needs to be so careful when driving!

Good for you with your ex! Glad he is OK! But just please beware! I know that I could not have pills anywhere in my house! Especially while I'm still in withdrawals! I would take them for sure!

I agree with Pat. Way too much temptation, no matter how long you've been clean. Could be a very bad idea.

That's great that you resisted but I am concerned that he is staying with you and the pills will be there.  Cravings can come out of nowhere and the pills are very close by if you have one.  
Maybe tell him to be in charge of the pills and to put them somewhere where you can't find them.
