I've seen a lot of questions asked at this forum yet people decide to preach and give advice while the questions go unaswered because everyone feels it is their duty as a distant peer to act as a parent...

love ya deez:) and I am gonna pray for you again. You touch my heart beacuse you are WAY to young to be heading in this direction(addiction). You've  got a good, long life ahead of you and I am very proud of you. You are recognizing the problem and taking steps to correct it. I find that to be very amazing out of a young man like yourself. Keep your head up and keep trucking. I know that God is going to take you to great and wonderful places in life. Have a blessed day/weekend!!

There are two sides to every argument... at least I can agree with myself on that one. My dad is an atheist and sometimes he gets angry and once said: "there is no God" - true enough, for him there is no God. My mother claims: "I have no conscience, I have no soul" - even though I could see she did not even believe it herself. Well each to their own, but could we all try to work together on the addiction problem. The problem at hand, focus on the bigger picture, do not get bogged down on the details. Everyone wants to be loved and if you cannot get it from each other, then why not love yourself? I think I am addicted to life, can anybody suggest anything, apart from the obvious?

everytime i have posted a question i get more than answers i get personal experiences from other people aboute the same things im going through and get their advice on what they have done to quit, i get support when i need it, hell just being on here and reading these posts keeps my mind busy so im not constantly thinking about taking pills

I think people come here as I did, seeking help-someone to just hear you and if you CAN get advice as well, great. I cannot tell you what a load off my mind it has been just to see that I am not ALONE. In turn, I have responded to some posts and offered some advice hoping that I can give back a little.

Anyone coming here with criticism and judgement need not apply. It sounds like Nuts is passing judgement on perceived judgement-passing...go figure!!!

loriegurl, please include me in your prayers! Thank you so much! And while I am not nearly as good at it as you guys are I will be sure to pray for all of your tonight when I say my evening prayers.

I think because we are all so different that we all give advice in our own way.No two people are just alike and thats the besuty of this site.Loriegirl, I always find your words very comforting.Please keep doing what you do.This is kinda a sore topic that does not sit well with me because of what happend with Beachtowel not to long ago.We are here for the same reason,to help and be helped.
I have said it before and I will again.We do not have to agree with everything that is posted her,but lets at least respect everyones differences.

Opinions are like assholes,everyone has one, and some peoples just stink!!!

thank you for your kind words. I know that I do pray for people BUT that is all I know to do to help people here. If they were neighbors or live in my same area, I may would have more to offer. But at this time all I know to do is offer my ear and pray for someone. I dont think that I have "preached", just trying to help.
amd also M I, I didnt see any preaching posts today either. I seen angel had put some very good bible qoutes on one post and I enjoyed that. If a post offends someone then it MUST BE HITTING A NERVE within their own issues. It didnt bother me, of course, I welcome GOD into my problems and welcome Him to take my burderns.
I pray that everyone here is safe, happy, delivered and that God will allow us all to skip withdrawals. this is for everyone but deeznuts. I dont want to offend him., so I will leave him out of my prayers.

This forum, and people in general, are not here to answer your questions, but to give guidance, usually from personal experience, to help you answer your own question.

Wow, I must be blind I guess because I just read back through today's chats and I CAN"T see where anyone was flat out ignored or "preached to"!! ~loriegirl, honey...I don't think you owe anyone an apology, we're big kids here, we can choose what we read and what we don't.

What I DO see is personal experience being given to those of us here that aren't sure what to expect now that we've decided to take our lives back! Some of only have "this site" to turn to. We don't have all the answers, but personally I know I try tp pipe in if I ever have anything to add to the pot if I think it could help or offer perspective.

I don't know your story Deez, and I sure am sorry you aren't comfortable with what this site does offer, but I think you may be forgetting ~ this is not a "Medically Monitored" site, all we have are our own experiences and what we've heard through the "addiction grapevine". Some questions may go unanswered because we're NOT dotors!

Plus~ I know for me personally, I have been "personally chatting" with several people who are helping a great deal. So maybe some of the questions you think aren't being answered really are, and you're just not seeing it?

I hope I'm not coming across judgmental, that isn't my intention, it just seems as if you're very upset because you need an answer, but what was the question?

I apologize for praying  for you. I enjoy praying for others. It brings me joy. Just overlook my posts and responses. Never meant to offend you. I will continue to pray for others, I will just exclude your name. If there are others that do not want me to pray for you, just let me know and I will remove your name(s) from my prayer list.
