Thanks to both of you for your input. What I meant by "stronger " was stronger than OTC or Ibuprofen 800's. I took a Motrin and it took the edge off. I didn't think it would help much bc I've been taking it since Detox. But I think I can tough it out since the additional pain is from overexertion and will only be temporary. I sure don't want to nosedive into another addiction. I have read the posts about Tram addiction, and I was shocked that my Dr. prescribed it as a non-addictive pain med. Getting over this 'hump" without taking Norco or Tram makes me feel empowered..
i have to respectfully disagree with the great Eagle here lol. I dont think it would be a good idea to take it. Youve had a problem with pain pill addiction and are only a month clean. What if the tram helps you TOO MUCH? what if you end up liking it? read the posts here- do a search for tramadol/ultram and see how hard it is to get off of. Worse than most drugs actually. Dont tempt fate, you could end up getitng blindsided by a different pill addiction but one that is even worse than the one you just gave up. I'd just take motrin 800 mgs and/or tylenol or one of the other over the coutner meds like Aleve etc. Take care and watch your step, its very easy to fall into another pitfall especially when you don't have a lot of clean time under your belt yet. Trust me, I DO understand bad pain! I have a bad back and many other aches and pains everyday and it really suckks, but I know I can never go back to any controlled substances for relief. Ive learned the hard way many times (relapsed, most recently due to severe tooth pain/extraction problems and ended up right back to gobbling up vikes like there was no tomorrow) Hope you feel better soon!
Tram isnt stronger than hydro's. Probably not dangerous to try the tram again .......but take it with full awareness. You can have a tram problem if you arent careful. And take the tram according to directions.
