Quit Tramadol today, been on it for 8 months and havent missed a day of using since then.

will i make it with out profssional help? i need adivce, been taking about 300 to 600 mg of tramadol  a day for the past 7 to 8 months, its my first day today with out any opiates in my body ....i'm starting to get the hot flashes and and no sleep already....help me pass these next few days

You dont want to go to cold turkey off tramadol.......These need to be tapered due to the risk of seizures.  Tramadol withdrawals come with their own set of problems.  I am not trying to scare you.....you just need to be very careful coming off these.  Go into avisg's profile.  She is our community leader here.  Her DOC was tramadol and she has alot of info on it.  Just be safe..........sara

you can do this alone. be good to yourself. On the dose you mention i guess your withdrwals will not be servere. it will feel like flu. I recently learnt that i was hooked on the codiene in otc medicine. i took that for 20 years!!! last week i went cold turkey - it was painful at times, but it wasn't anything that could not be done - You have to be sure that you know its an addiction, you take the pills because the last lot of pills made you take them - a circular effect.

Look for the Thomas Recipie - don't take valium (my view) the rest of the natural pills you can buy - it certainly helped me.
