i thought wiston wouldnt mind.lol
I really enjoyed your post -
I especially enjoyed reading it the first time when it was penned by SIR Winston Churchill....
i know scotish and irish people and they love alcohol.English do to come to think of it.ive had problems with both too,oh and weed and other cr£p.if i can do it anyone can.peace out brother.
I am half Oglala Lakota Sioux Indian (hence the n8tiv_ndn moniker) the other half is Comanche and Scotch-Irish....hence why I have to stay away from alcohol...lol...no really...I used to drink and quit that 5 years ago....now I just gotta fix the opiate issue.....the Red Road is what the Lakota elders call the right path, the rood to a good, truthful, rewarding life....the other road is the Black Road...it's not so good and
I have walked both. Am returning to the Red Road and I WILL remain there....glad you liked it.....peace brother hoka hey!!!!!!
i like!!!! gonna write that down and take it with me on my positive peice of paper.wow gave me tingle reading that!!chris
P.S whats lakota
Here's a little different way of saying the same thing but from my Lakota teaching/upbringing.....let me know what u think...
To Walk the Red Road
To walk the Red Road,
You have God-given rights,
You have the right to pray,
You have the right to dance,
You have the right to think,
You have the right to protect,
You have the right to know Mother Earth,
You have the right to dream,
You have the right to vision,
You have the right to teach,
You have the right to learn,
You have the right to happiness,
You have the right to fix the wrongs,
You have the right to the Spirit World,
To Walk the Red Road
is to know sacrifice, suffering,
To Walk the Red Road
is to know you will one day
cross to the Spirit World,
and you will not be afraid.

my motto is...im an addict that chooses not to use. i make no plans for my future use. non what so ever. i cant promise ill be clean tomorrow or even later today. but as for now i am clean. know that each day builds confidiencs in oneself. each day has a set of chalenges. but i have the focus on myself for once. the road is long..and has pot holes and hills amd valleys. but the sky is blue and sun is out...so i count my blessings one by one. and thats what gets me thru.
It is a long and winding road.
It is a marathon not a sprint.
Keep running the race with patience.
Keep on keepin on.
Keep fighting the good fight.
Each step is part of the journey.
Congrats on your clean time!!
Continued blessings
Debbie
dead right!!!you know what mike, its only the last few week ive realized, after having a long hard look at myself, that i will always be in recovery. That thought used to scare me now its set me free!
So true! We can make asmuch progress as is possible but there is no ultimate goal at the end... The goal is acquired the moment we stop using and keeping it in our sights is morelike running with the football and never dropping it. Lifelong!
