Only thing helps me is my prescription of Requip and a hot shower or bath with Epsom salts and lavender (essential oil) when it hurts. Moving also helps.
The amount of Quinine in the homeopathic formula by Hyland's is 1/1000 of the dose that was deemed unsafe by the FDA. It is PERFECTLY SAFE, taken from it's natural source (a type of bark) and is compounded with 5 other ingredients to make it work even better. (synergistically)
There are many reviews out there on Hyland's Restful Legs....and it DOES help many people....but of course, not all people. I would encourage you to put it in your search engine and read the reviews. Many people were helped by their products even when prescription medication for restless legs did NOT help (and with NO side effects too as a bonus).
They make many products that I used during withdrawals as well as after my acute withdrawals. Here's a list I keep handy to share with others:
Hyland's Leg Cramps PM
Hyland's Leg Cramps
Hyland's Leg Cramps Ointment
Hyland's Restful Legs
Hyland's Calms Forte
Hyland's Nerve Tonic
And no, I don't work for them...hahahaha!!!
Hope that helps you, AcesMom☺
Also... There is a VERY good reason Quinine helps fights malaria. It's not good for you one bit. It will, in short order, destroy your nervous system.
Bucospan antispasmodic OTC and diphenhydramine 50mg (OTC Sominex Gel caps) :-)
Hi acesmom, It is Hylands Restful Leg and the ingredient in it is Quinine although they have outlawed quinine in the U.S. they have found a way to make a derivative Naturally. I showed my kidney Dr. a bottle of it, He was surprised and spoke in length how they go about skirting law in Natural medicine. He also said they use to use quinine during dialysis to relive cramps. He said to go ahead and use it for me If I cramp and it helps. It did help me a lot in wd It also helps my hubby who is prone to cramps. Hope it helps you, lesa
