Help with withdrawl

So I have been taking approximately (4) 15 mg perks a days for about 2-4 months.  It started because i threw out my back and the hospital treated me as if i was just trying to get drugs and gave me 5 mg perks which did absolutely nothing.  So I went elsewhere to deal with the intense pain.  So I took a 15 mg yesterday at 8 am to get work done then another at 1 pm... I tried to stop and went 32 hours and finally took another 15 mg just now.  I am an engineer and have a lot of work to do everyday.  I tried taking a 5 hour energy drink today and a 5 mg vick just to deal with the withdrawal...  before taking this last 15 mg perk I was in pretty bad pain and my nerves are jumpy.. can't sleep because of it.  So i have (2) 15 mg pills left.  My plan is to try to go another day and a half prior to taking one and doing that again to ween myself down so the withdrawal won't be as bad or long.  Anyway i HAVE to get work done everyday and have quick deadlines... can someone tell me the best thing to do to lessen the effects of withdrawal and to give me the energy to get through my work days...  i'm thinking protein shakes like ensure, i have Tramadol i can take for the pain but i don't even feel the effect due to the perk dependency.  I want to do whatever is healthiest to get through this to be clean and to still be able to have enough energy to get through the work day and something to get me to sleep.  Thanks sooo much for any advice!!!!

HI there~ I have to absolutely agree with LeaAnn and say flush those trams away!! Ther are a bit*ch to kick if you get hooked and like she also said, You wont even know its happening until you are, They dont even really do a great job with pain control anyways. I hope they are banned one day!

As far as what you said about waiting a day and a half, and taking a pill and then doing that again, All that will do is prolong the ineveitable. Either just take them now, Or flush them. Waiting like that wont do any good. IMO you should do the latter and just get it started now.

The Thomas recipe has great stuff you need to get but I would also recommend B12 sublingual tabs to help with energy. Also keep yourself as active as you can. Even when you dont want to, Force yourself. You need to get those natural enorphins going.

Congrats on wanting to take the first step to getting your life back. Post anytime you need help, support or advice. SOmeone is always here!

The healthiest thing would be to throw that tramadol in the toilet and flush about 16 times!!!!! It's highly addictive, and you won't even know it's happening.  One of the two worst pills I ever detoxed from. Read the Thomas recipe.  It's got good info for the stuff you asked about!
