Soma and xanx

I have been taking about 15 soma's a day 350 mg and now I started taking Xanx with it 2mg up to about 10 a day and can still function......I'm afraid for my self and my family but they just really don't understand my past and the things I've been through,

i can't stress to you how much damage soma can do i was using a script of45 in 2-3 days then selling or trading my pain meds or xanax to get more i cant tell you how scared my kids got when they seen me all messed up i started them in 92 i had my last one 1-08 because i got pregnant and now have a newborn that keeps me off those but now it's pain meds but i can tell you i do have memory problems and i know it's bc of all the years on soma if you ever want to talk i'm here  amy

Just to let you know that is allot of Soma, and mixed with the Xanax doesn't help your situation.  You talked about your past and I will tell you the philosophy at the rehab I work for is "Drugs are not the problem but are misused as a short term solution"  Everyone I see in the rehab has a past that needs to be dealt with.  The ones that open up the most and face it do the best.

Somas can be really dangerous when taken in excess. You may see yoruself as functioning but to others it may be really obvious your not.

I had a friend years ago that was addicted to soma. She thought no one could tell. But she slurred her words so much you could no longer understand what she was saying, she couldn't walk straight and couldn't find the proper words to use or get them out of her mouth and would end up making sounds sometimes instead of understandable words.
I'm not saying that this is the point you've reached only that taking somas in excess can have a severe effect on your fine motor skills and ability to function safetly with enough awarness of things around you. I'd bet that your functioning alot different than you yourself can see.

Please see a doctor and get the help and support you need so that you can work to get to a place you want to be. You can't stop these meds cold turkey or even taper them on your own. The withdrawls can be life threatning.
But you CAN learn how to cope with your past without having to take soma or xanax. From what I've read of this forum it can be a great support and tool to help you in so many ways. Listen to the people here, the know what they're talking about and care so much about everyone here.

That is a lot of Soma even when use to it, 15 a day will still affect your motor skills memory and a few other things..add the xanax I do not think functioning properly would define it.. We all have a past maybe it is time to deal with it.. If you just started the xanax I would suggest giving them to someone you trust you are taking way to much.. The soma has to be tapered as does the xanax ... I'm awake if you would like to talk.. sincerely lesa
