I know quite a few people that are addicted to Soma.  I know people that are more addicted to Soma than they are Vicoden.  Be careful.  It's a nasty drug.

Soma was another one of those drugs that doctors liked to say was non-addictive, but there are published cases of dependence now. Its a muscle relaxer which sounds about right for the procedure you had done, but be careful, it is addictive.

When I was needing a muscle relaxer (for medical purposes) I found that flexeril did the same thing for me as soma, but didn't give me a buzz. Either way, taken as directed neither should really cause any problems except for the drowsiness like you said.

my mother had been addicted to soma for about 20 or more years and they have just about killed her. she takes a bottle of 90 in about 4 to 5 days they are very addicting so please be carefull she has stoped breathing several times when taking them and has been in the hospital about every 3 months for a long time. due to her taking so many for so long she has lost most of her long and short term memory and looks about 20 or more years older than she really is and i really dont think she will stop untill they kill her. ive tried to help her but she refuses so again please be very carefull with somas. i hope this helps you.

Hello! Actually I am not off the opiates. I finally had my back surgery on March 12th and I am still working on building strength in my back and neck. After my surgery they gave me valuim but it made me too drowsy, so he put me on Soma. I usually take them before bed b/c they make me sleepy too/. I still take morphine 100 (ER), 30 (IR) and 15 (IR) from my pain management Doc. So this is still an active struggle....

I became very addicted to soma, physically and mentally.  It took two years of fighting to finally kick the habit.  There are many other muscle relaxers such as skelaxin and robaxin that are non addictive.  Try those instead.  Soma is merely a barbiturate in sheep's clothing. take care

HI I took soma in my hay/days of partying I use to call them beer igniters  I never developed a problem on them but know several people who did it is classed as a mussel relaxer but I know you can develop a dependency on them and its a tuff on to break
these are best left alone unless prescribed and even then I would exorcise caution
good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

I've only known two people on soma and both were really hooked onit. I don't know if it is mental or physical. I know the one gal was in detox for 8 months as they weaned her down with klonopin. She had a tough time.
