i was on morphine for years, (i had a thing for roxi's too) tiday is day 10 w/o any opiates, the physical sickness has subsided a little, still very restless at night, hard to fall asleep. i've been pretty moody for the past 2-3 days. i hear that will subside, just takes time i guess. anyway, after 9 days she should be coming out of the worst of the physical, now she needs to work on the mental/emotional part. but 9 days is awesome, help her keep it up!! best of luck to both of you.

Like the girls said - vitamins, aminos and exercise. Hot baths/showers can help regulate body temp and get rid of the skin crawlies. If she's been clean for 9 days the worst of the acute wds should be over if not very soon. She'll likely feel lethargic, tired, depressed - she'll probly have a hard time sleeping too. That's where the aminos/exercise really have their impact. Read the Amino Acid Protocol in the Health Pages and make a list of things to get. Try and get her to post here on the forum... having the support of other addicts really helps especially right in the beginning. Good luck to both of you!!
It is different for everybody but when I went through Heroin wd it took a couple of months to feel normal.. Norco wd I was feeling pretty good at 3 weeks...
Yes, lool up the thomas recipe, its an at home over the counter detox remedy. it may not feel like its doing much, but it will...good luck..
Morphine wd takes a little longer then some.. Getting out walking and exercising although I know she does not feel like it is a big help with anxiety helps to promote fell good endorphins, energy and rls (restless leg).. On the bottom right there is information about amino acids that will help with energy and other symptoms.. Therapy is a bonus as we have a need to talk of our experiences and the reasons we take it to extremes.. I'm sure you will get a lot of response, read as others have been through what your girl is going through... I wish you both well.. lesa
