Soul Destroying Fear

I have been using oxy for about 2 years.  I use whatever I can get.  I need to stop but cannot.  I am so afraid of stopping.  I am afraid of the physical pain and the emotional turmoil!  I am a very brave person and have had some extremely tough times in my life (a "Mommie Dearest" upbringing for starters) but  nothing has ever compared to the fear I feel now!!!!  Please, please help!!!  What do I do???

Hi~   Don't be afraid!!  Withdrawals will not kill you!!!   So many of us have stopped and lived to talk about it!!

How much do you take per day??

Read the "health pages",upper right of this page. Look at the Thomas Recipe and "At home detox".

Keep posting~Much support here

first of all, welcome to the forum :)

and second) face those fears....as you know fears are much worse than reality...we make them grow bigger in our minds and we even come to think that we can defeat them. This is a LIE.... you are a brave person, meet yourself again, remember what you have been through and think that you deserve a much better life than being an active addict.... the physical and mental stuff is not going to kill you, spending your life abusing substances is killing you every day a little bit more...

Bugsnaps..... it is doable and you can do it.... :)  stay here , you will find support, read as much posts as you can....to learn about stuff you can take to alleviate some symptons...read the health pages ( the thomas recipe and the amino acid protocol...take what it may help you and leave the rest )....look for some aftercare ( Na meetings, therapy, counsellors... whatever may help you ).... be positive and work on your recovery, be proactive with your new life and face those fears, don't let them grow bigger.....conquer them little by little starting with positive thoughts, start being brave again and you'll be on track soon...

good luck :)
