Stopped Chewing Tobacco

Hi I stopped chewing tobacco 4 days ago. I started chewing in November and chewed about 3-4 times a day up until 4 days ago when I quit. I have read that the physical withdrawal symptoms peak on day three. Does anyone know what the common withdrawal symptoms are? I am constipated, get headaches, feel dizzy off and on throughout the day, and the weirdest one is my nose is congested and clariton d barely clears it up. Is it normal to have withdrawal effects that include nasal congestion? When will these symptoms end?

Yes you can have a loss of appetite that is normal and will become normal again as well.  Anytime you are in any sort of withdrawal from a substance your body is all out of whack and until it gets back to normal you may find a decreased appetite as one of the symptoms. It's nothing to worry about you should be fine in no time.  Keep keepin on and good luck bud

Yeah that is pretty dang scary I like my bottom jaw to much to let this stuff tear it off. As for the mental symptoms I guess I have had anxiety and irritability. I didn't even realize those happened. Haha. I am finally starting to feel better. Is loss of appetite a symptom also? I didn't feel like eating at all today.

It my memory serves me well I believe it's a bout a week before you start feeling better or maybe sooner with the short amount of time you had been chewing.  But you are right you will have the runs which is your body ridding toxins (de-toxifying) to be become regular.  Headaches are normal during this period and if you are lucky enough you won't experience any of the mental symptoms from nicotine withdrawal which included irritability, anxiety, agitation, and even sometimes depression.  Just be glad you stopped now and didn't get mouth cancer or throat cancer, tongue, loss of teeth, or have part of your face removed from the cancer.  It's an ugly habit that can have dire consequences on your health and some serious longterm physical ailments and deformaties to the face if you don't stop soon enough.  I read about a guy that only chewed for 2 years he was 16, now 28 he developed mouth cancer from chewing and half off his face has been removed.  It's scary stuff man and the aftermath is oh so real.  But in your case it's good you are stopping now before it's too late. So good job on ridding this bad habit out of your life. I would say though a week tops and then you should start to feel normal again.  Hope this helps

Oh dude you have got it easy.  Only chewed for 2 months that is nothing you should be totally fine.  Try chewing for 12 years and then see how you feel.  Words straight from experience.
