Yeah, they probably wont start u on the suboxone right away anyway, at least they didnt me. I told my dr upfront what drugs i was taking, she urine tested me, then we came up with a taper plan to get the opiates low enough to go at least 48 hrs with nothing in my system. You will only hurt yourself if your not upfront with the drugs your on. These drs know were drug addicts coming to them....
There are MANY doctors located in Albuquerque who prescribe SUBOXONE, just so you're aware...
This seems odd to me.
I know someone on methadone and she gets drug tested weekly
he Vicki I always thought it was a requirement or at least a strong suggestion to taper down to 30mgs before switching.
I have recently found out that the only requirement is to be in
withdrawal from the methadone.
which could be up to 3- 7 days with no methadone.
Dukeee it is definitely recommended to dose on the suboxone in a doctors office. it is very important to be in pretty intense withdrawal before dosing with the suboxone or else you will put yourself into precipitated withdrawals.
is that the doctor that the methadone clinic recommended?
You realize you have to be in withdrawal for several days before you can begin SUBOXONE, right?
I wonder how this doctor can prescribe an opiate of this strength from out of state...hmmm...
I am only on 50 mgs of methadone my clinic didnot let me taper down they want to switch me to subs. The new Dr said his treatment does not require a drop down.He is in florida iam in NM
You're already on methadone and you really can't begin SUBOXONE until you're down to at least 30mg per day of methadone; last I knew.
When you see the doctor tomorrow, tell him you prefer to taper the methadone...if that's what you truly want. But as I said, you need to taper down to 30 mg anyway and that's well documented.
hi so you decided to switch to suboxone because they wont distract you?
hun how much xanax are you on?
do you get that from the street or do you have a script?
it is important to be honest with the sub doctor, please make sure you let them know you take the Xanax.
you will have to wait until you are in withdrawal from the methadone before you can dose on the suboxone.
what kind of suboxone schedule do you hope to have with the suboxone doctor?
I am a little confused. Aren't you going to a doctor to get off of drugs? They don't test you anyway, it would seem of pointless. Aren't you going to be honest with him that you are taking drugs. Again sorry, I am just confused.
