Opiates will always be around me. My husband almost died in a car accident 11 yrs.ago, and is prescribed patches, and roxy. I am a very strong person, and this is my choice to het off them. I work full time as a nurse, and cant afford to be taking time off of work, it will all be unpaid! Thats why I was considering sub taper. I also dont have medical insurance, so will bw hitting the streets for those. Ahhh....idk

Oh yes, my best friend said Sub withdrawal was worse then opiate WD.I was considering doing a taper method for like 3-4 days. Cant imagine going through a WD after 3-4 days. Idk though

Oops, thought you were someone else that was detoxing.

But my post still stands. When are you out of pills? When do you start?

NOOOO!!! Subs are worse to get off than norco.

I know you are hurtin, there is no way around this. Just gotta go through it. Each time gets harder, so if you can just keep going, this will be over and you never ever ever have to do this again!

You can look up the Thomas recipe on here!  Thats what I used and I had a fairly easy time of it!  It still S*****D but it wasnt as bad as I made it in my mind!  I was on Norco for 7 years and the last 2 of those I was taking 7-8 daily and then oxys when I ran out before my next refill!  I ended up getting codeine to taper off of the norco but they just made me sick and I flushed them and just jumped!  Some people can taper but I dont think many can....its too tempting having the pills right there!  Youll be sick for about 5-6 days but then it gets better and better every day!!!!  There will be lots of others who will post and give you suggestions and encouragement!  We are all here for the same reason!!!!  Stick around and keep posting!!!

Hi
I have been on Norco for a year and a half now.  I have been trying to get off but have been unsuccessful.  I have been tapering off for the past few weeks.  Started with 4 a day for a week, then 3 a day for a week, 2 a day for a week and so on.  I am now on 1 a day.  However, without my husband knowing it, I went and got more last week.  I get 40 at a time.  I did flush some of them but had a few days last week of taking 7 or 8 a day.  Totally messed me up.  I am really mad at myself.  But this Thursday will be my last pill.  I cant do this anymore.  I also want to have kids.  Plus it is just totally ruining my life.  I know it's scary.  This is a great community for support and I know a lot of people will be along to help give you advice.
Good luck, you can do it!
