I know I'm posting this a couple months after you. But how've you done so far? I hope you were able to hang in there, and I really hope to hear that you're feeling great these days. Because I'm currently starting day 2 off of the subs and I jumped from 2mg a day for the past year and a half (lots of sporadic using throughout that time, but subs only no getting high for the past 6 months) I've only detoxed off subs once before in rehab but I went home after 16 days and still felt like ****. I was clearly not ready at the time. Now I've lost the love of my life and between that and being homeless untill I met her, a lot of things have snapped into perspective. I'm ready.. but terrified at the same time. I wish you the best my friend

As I have always said subs are mis-prescribed as a magic bullet for opiate detox. Subs are worst than most of the opiates people are trying to get off of. It just irritates me that uneducated and mis-informed doctors are allowed to prescribe this drug. The only criteria you must meet as a doctor to prescribe subs is taking a 2 week seminar (taught by the pharmaceutical company that manufactures it). Does anyone here see a self serving purpose or is it just me the cynic?
my sister was on subox for 5 yrs and quit cold turkey ,it was like 8$ a pill and they had her taking 3 a day..But i took care of her and there is a few things you can do to make things better,1)take some Amodium A.D for bathroom issues,2)take some dramamine for nausea ,it relaxes your tummy and your whole body,Green tea helps push the toxins out of your system faster, and some multi vits,to help restore you body,....The most important thing is to calm yourself down ,I under stand your prolly nervous and anxiet, but the most important thing is to remain calm as possible because you can make your detox symptoms 100 times worse when you freak out, your mind will play with you,and you have to let yourself relax, keep a strong mind your energy will be crap for about2-3 weeks, but it does get better .....Stay strong your doing good.....Danielle
