Yes if you can get strips then that's great as it'll help. 2mg is quite a big step to jump from (I had issues at 0.5!!) if you can't get strips then get a pill cutter and cut your 2mg pills in 8 bits (that would be 0.25mg per bit) and I know it takes ages but what I did was taper down by 0.25mg every four days. If you feel you can do it faster (every three) then that's great as you want to get rid of this stuff in your body sooner than later. Obviously some jump sooner as the poster mentioned above but in that case you just need to be prepared that it won't be very easy and will last quite some time. It depends on the dose and amount of time you were on these since the start. Because as the drug gets out of the system slowly you may be on 2mg but you'll still have some remainder of the doses prior to taking 2mg if that makes sense.
I would recommend that you continue your taper. I can't give you specifics as to a particular schedule as it not permitted here. 2mg/day is considered to be roughly the 1/2 point. It gets a bit harder from 2mg down. I jumped from .25mg/day. Try to get the 2mg strips. They are much easier to cut up when you get to the low doses. Can you jump from 2mg and be successful? Yes! I think Motye51 jumped from something like 24mg/day. I had moderate WDs for about a week and then the 'no energy' syndrome for a month. It took two months to feel somewhat normal. I only missed 2 days of work and went to all of my charm school events. ( Counselor meetings, UAs and group sessions). Keep posting. I'll look to see what you post and give you any info I have
BTW....I am really asking "what are you thinking" as in what is your plan....after I read that I was like woops....
I will start by saying kudos to you for getting down to 2mg....that's pretty awesome.
Is your plan to go from 2 to 0mg b/c I'm sure you know suboxone taper is slow and steady.....2mg to 0 is still quite a jump....what were u thinking?
