THE LOSS OF A DEAR LOVED ONE DUE TO DRUGS!!

Well i didn't think i would ever be that person to lose someone due to this drug ..  Meth (crank) is a horrible drug that will take you way beyond where you thought you would ever go..   this really isn't a question just needing to vent so i want to thank everyone in advance for listening,
    well i got a phone call early saturday morning , to find out that my cousin Talena, Had died of cardiac arrest due to over dose of Meth, And i still can't believe that it has happened nor do i want to accept it.. My cousin was only 25 years old exactly one year younger than me.. And Not to mention with three young kids which her youngest is 3 months old.. So i am now worring myself about her kids and who is going to take care of them.. There dad is a bad achoholic and druggie as well and to top it off is family has lots of money and will fight for the children i know they will.. And they also are the supplier of the drugs..  
          i am just so heart broken and can't believe i never seen the signs of this..  i knew she was on something but would have never thought in a million years it was meth..  she died saturday early morning and i miss her so very much already..  But it was kinda weird because i was thinking about her all week before she died and i tried to call her several times . But she never answer the phone..  

      So friends if you have loved ones that are using or you may suspect them using please don't hesitate to talk to them about it .. it maybe exactly what saves there lives..

Just wanted to add my sympathy and condolences for you and your family. I am no stranger to what you are going through...I lost my brother to drugs about 15 years  ago. It was one of the hardest emotional traumas I ever experienced. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

thank you guys for your prayers .. My family and I will need them..  It is one of the hardest things i have yet to go through..  losing someone this way is horrible .. But i know i will stay clean and that is all that matters..

I lost someone last year because of an overdose too.  It is heartbreaking & for months after I would beat myself up over not doing SOMETHING more for her.  I finally just had to let go and really turn it over to God through prayers and forgiveness.  The pain of the loss is gone, but it still makes me feel very sad when i think about it.  I will pray for you & your entire family.  I am so sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss.  You, your family, and those children will be in my prayers.

I am so afraid for our kids and the future that's ahead of them.  Drugs, whether it's meth, heroin, pills, and even in some cases, pot, are everywhere.  No one thinks they'll ever wind up in the downward spiral of addiction.  My heart breaks for them and their families.  I hope someday soon there will be proper interventions and treatments to help with this (that doesn't require all kinds of money.)

So sorry for your loss Sophia. It's always so sad when one's life is cut short and especially to drugs. I lost my older sister about 7 years ago. She was 30 years old. It can happen to anyone at anytime.

thank you so much for your kind words danielle,  and yes it is a reminder of why i chose to get off the pills they will eventually kill us.. or OD or whatever the reason but they will kill us someway..

I'm so very sorry for your loss honey - a good reminder to us all.  Meth was my DOC 23 years ago and I feel so very lucky I got out in one piece - it is a horrible, indsideous thing. Please know you are in my thoughts.  BIG HUGS to you Sophia!
