Sometimes mind may create what It desires to see or hear, what it may be used to or what it may want or what it may be scared of or what is history or what has been engraved into the belief system, what it may imagine or anything else. Mind is a powerful tool. The most powerful in the world.
It can either be in your control or it can control you. With time and practice you may tame your mind towards constructive. I think we only know a certain percentage of our minds and knowing less usually works in our favor. Because knowing more means to control more. And it may get difficult but do not loose hope. And sometimes ignorance can be bliss. And other times you must be strong to handle whatever comes. You will do okay, try not to overthink. Hallucinations may either try to make what you already believed to be stronger or it may try to attack on your worst fears. So make sure you choose the right thing by at least avoiding any impulsive actions and try to be cool and live in peace and harmony, irrespective of what the mind has to offer.
Makes sure he takes supplements under doctor's advise, especially for eye care such as Lutein and other antioxidants.

It's not me but it's a person I care about and mostly heavy Vicodin use for around 2-3 years. He has done other drugs including cocaine, marijuana, even heroine but very short term. Recently he had stopped everything but once he stopped taking the vicodine that's when this started.
